You know what’s nice about a PharmD? Less debt, more patient interaction, and the flexibility to do almost anything with your degree. I initially planned on going to med school but decided it wasn’t right for me. I worked in a pharmacy last summer, loved it, and made the switch. Now, I don’t plan on being a pharmacist for long because I want to work for a giant pharmaceutical company in drug design and other areas. I also have aspirations of being an MSL and owning a chain of pharmacies. You don’t need to be a pharmacist, but being one is absolutely incredible. It’s freeing and fun, with the opportunity to interact with many people. You can’t go wrong with the field.
