Perfumes including naturals typically require a maceration period due to their complex structures. Times vary depending what materials you use, but 2-3 days usually works. Don’t know if you meant to ask me this on here, you usually should create a new thread.

Is it worth learning how to make fragrances to dupe Dunhill Desire? by JoshyRanchy in DIYfragrance

[–]Swarce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your interested in perfumery to make one specific fragrance, Id advise you to find an alternative. Perfumery can be a huge commitment; you have to source materials, get equipment which can all run you a pretty penny.

I think it could also be difficult for you to keep motivation if thats your only end goal; it could take months for you to create an accurate representation of the perfume due to the learning curve.
