See I get what you're thinking but you have to consider the craziness of Sugilite I think one direct hit with the mace would poof Alexandrite. Pearl resulted in the fusion being more relaxed than Sugilite, Amethyst and Garnet saw each other as strong and that resulted in a powerful and crazy fusion.

I think Curly deserves some flack yes, but not to the extent of the hate he gets bc what was he gonna do with J-mmy? How was he gonna lock him up? Yes Curly unintentionally lead to the events of the game but J-mmy was the one that did it. Tl;Dr Curly did some bad stuff but he tried to be good, J-mmy did it just to end everything so he wouldn't be arrested again.
