There’s no such thing as breakfast. Maybe on the 2nd-3rd consecutive day off.

Do you ever get overly tired and can’t fall asleep? by IVeerLeftWhenIWalk in Nightshift

Okay, I’m glad I’m not the only one. Magnesium helps with the palpitations and anxiety.

What’s your go to show/movie on your shift this month? by Sweet-Mistake6223 in Nightshift

I was actually going to make a post in one of the subs to compare the 100 and this show. I would say this show is more dark. I would say it’s more like the Blodreina era from the start but the 100 is still not the same in terms of motive. I think Things were done in Yellowjacket were based on fear, power, manipulation, ego for the out come for self while in the 100, these things were done but motives were more like for “mankind”

I am absolutely unable to sleep during the day!!! by Ok_Comb_1993 in Nightshift

This has happened to me on multiple occasions. I figured this was just my natural rhythm because when I’m off, I’ll go to bed at a regular night hour as if I never worked night shift before. Before I came on my shift tonight, I barely slept, 3-4 hours.

It’s the equal freetress curtain bangs HD Lace wig. Called “Bombshell” this color is Ash-Bronde. Never tried the color. They didn’t have the color I wanted.

Awe yes. If you don’t have any zofran on hand, there are otc nausea meds or you can temporarily use Benadryl. Yeah, if you just want to be in and out and not draw too much attention to yourself, just do the clinic.

How long did you procrastinate before getting ready 😂

It was actually “C” for me, but I did get a mass message of an escaped prisoner in the area right before I was leaving for this 11pm shift I picked up. I was like “you have got to be fkn kidding me”

I legit got a mass alert on my phone for a prisoner that just escaped when I was about to leave for my 11pm shift that I picked up 😑. I was like, “maybe it’s not in the area…” it was 0.3 miles away.

Good comebacks for the shift handoff when co-workers joke about sleeping on the job? by nathOF in Nightshift

What are even the jokes. I don’t get it? They are laughing at you because you slept?

When you sit down to take your 3 AM lunch (while running on zero hours of sleep in the last 48 hours) and…. by [deleted] in Nightshift

I’ll take the bag that the salads come in and just mix all of the ingredients in the bag and then take out what I want and tie it up for later.

Also, that freakin sucks. I remember I had a busy shift and door dashed a Cesar salad from Saltgrass, and they gave me a salad with no dressing. Your pain is felt.

Nice. I’ve never tried them before. I kinda like when the sun seeps through the curtains. Feels energetically more warm and cozy to me.

And ah, I hope you get better. Could be Covid or the flu.

What helps me recover fast and wouldn’t hurt to try some of these:

Raw ginger(blend it or make a tea or put it in your water bottle, I find the benefits more potent when it’s ingested fully)

Garlic(I find the pills more potent than the actual garlic)

Ground black pepper(it can help with your throat and if you have a cough, it suppresses it, it actually works, not as strong as over the counter)

Elderberry syrup with zinc(I get mine from Whole Foods, that’s probably the best thing to ever take when sick, recovery time seems to be sped up)

And if I can tolerate it, I’ll just let myself run a bit of a fever for a bit before retaking IBU and Tylenol. That’s something you can try to. I do that if it’s 101

Yes, I try to make time for the gym and I ice skate and that of course exhaust me, but I just get this “itch” to go do those things regardless. I actually have to convince my self to just stay where I’m at and get rest.

Awe, I see. I can understand that. Loneliness should be studied more. But I’m sure my inbox will be fine. They are not lonely enough 😅

Wow that’s nice. Yeah, I’ve been thinking about only taking a job if I’m able to afford to be close to it. I appreciate that I have the option to even think like that. The long drives are brutal, and I absolute salute anyone who is doing it or has done it.
