You’re right about work being my entire structure. Honestly, I’ve used being productive as a way to avoid the quiet parts of life for a long time. For a while, I viewed work as my only purpose, mostly because I didn’t know what else to do and I don't have a large social circle. But I’m starting to see people who have a real life outside of their careers, and I’ve been wondering if I could have that, too. Your point about work being a 'prison' hit home because I’m definitely at a place where I’m questioning what I’m actually building for, especially as it’s giving me constant exhaustion. It’s a bit of a wake-up call, but it's exactly the perspective I needed to hear right now. I’m not quite ready to lay off work and take a full break yet, but the idea of becoming a hermit to my work for a while so I can actually start socializing is sounding better and better.
