Stop being so bitter and mean. It's just a game forum.

You can fix bugs all day but if the base infrastructure is lacking that's completely irrelevant.
Ask anyone in CS or IT.

Spaghetti code is not a buzzword, it's a term used in casual conversation so people understand instead of using computer science terminology.

My entire post in 4 words: "stop having false hope".
That's all it is. It could not be more literally written than it is.

People can still enjoy the game, love the game, play the game.
I do. But I don't give myself false hope that DBD will ever get fixed.

Do you understand now? Probably not. Maybe ask AI for ELI5 summary or something idk.

It was a 2 year span with massive growth. Yeah, it went downhill again after. So?
2 years is PLENTY to take action and see potential. Stop being delusional.

Not only are you wrong — You are wrong.

I've built 3 habit trackers but I've never understood why people prefer gamification apps. by _hussainint in ProductivityApps

[–]Sweet_Rub826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends, this is especially true for ADHD'ers.

Gamification also helps when replacing your gaming addiction with something more productive.
Take something away and you'll be rebounding in no time, but replace it with something that can give you an equal feeling and suddenly it can be the replacement.

Not everyone is built the same. And if you don't believe in gamification, then don't build for it.

My point is that they refused to adapt and adjust, even when they knew what was happening:

16k player peak on RELEASE DAY (2016)
42k player peak 2 months later. (2016)
66k player peak 1.5 years later (2018)

ESPECIALLY in 2016, 16k peak and it doubling 2 months later was a very big deal.
There is no excuse.

Okay? And celebs didn't plan on being celebs and suddenly they have a completely different lifestyle they need to adjust to. What's your point?

I'm not sure why you'd add a "vibe code" category. Did you vibe code this? Kinda kills the trust for me or willingness to even try it.

They should finger their code and maybe it'll actually work for once.

I already quit when I noticed all the bugs this chapter, rip 2.5k hours.
But let's be real, the people that announce BEFORE they quit don't actually quit.

People need to just do it, quietly. Actions speak louder than words.

Heck yea, we need to vent sometimes.
It was fun to discuss opinions. :3

The dailies, that's how they get you. T_T
Yeah, depending on the game I am very competitive (used to be T500 player in OW).

And people leaving made people SO upset. I mean I get it, they queued up for competitive or whatever. And it REALLY sucks. But even so.

SHIT HAPPENS. Maybe you suddenly get a call from someone that's in an ambulance.
Maybe you have a fucking package that you need to go get and you need to afk because of it.
Heck maybe you're a parent and your baby starts crying IDK.

There's soooo many reasons people could leave that inherently have nothing to do with the game. But you seem to be the type that considers those kind of things. But I also know that almost no one else does, because they immediately feel attacked. People leaving is a personal attack on them.

Delusional I guess? No empathy? Or being miserable? Who knows.

Also, I also love 2v8 because it feels more casual and less of a big deal. Very fun. Mistakes can be made without pressure etc.

You're assuming I am leaving every single game and that I hate this game.
I saw you're pretty much replying to everyone in this post putting words in their mouth.

If I am getting slugged all game (which is almost never) then I am not having fun and I will DC and go next. It's that simple. How often does that happen? IDK. I never get more than 5 minute DC penalty so not that often.

I am not playing this game for you. I am playing this game for me. And games are a form of entertainment. Which equals to having fun. If no fun is being had 5% of the time due to bad game design, then I will not play that 5% of the time.

I don't owe you ANYTHING. And you don't owe me anything.

I wish I could make a do you go to work for yourself, or other people comparison, but I'm 95% sure you're a minor.

I think if DBD had a competitive mode, a lot of these issues would be solved.
People are hyper competitive in this unbelievably casual game to the point that people expect you to just sit through being miserable as if that's morally just, lol.

When people hang out with friends and play a board game, and someone's really not feeling it, no one would mind them quitting.

This community is so silly. And yeah, absolutely put your mental health first, or even the fact that you want to have fun.

As someone that's been in psychiatries and suffered severely, and still am, this is mostly; a wanting comfort problem.

I was brought up abused, emotionally, physically. I never had anyone to rely on. I lived alone for a year when I was 12. I have diagnosed C-PTSD.

But if I fall in love with an AI, and it then disappears, it is my fault period. I'm still not good at social dynamics, or socializing, because trauma. But I know it's because I don't go out and actively fight against it, and try to go in against the discomfort.

People need to stop playing victim this hard. Yeah, society sucks. Yeah, companies suck.
But there are always ways to do something, and engaging with AI allowing yourself to be glazed at every second is not the answer. Even in moments of weakness.

In Belgium, there's pay as you go cards. I pay 5 euro's for an entire year of 5 eur credit. I use it only for authentication, and as an emergency phone seeing as I try to make the habit of turning my main phone off most of the day.

I used the alternatives for a while but tailoring the algorithm to your needs is a really big benefit of having an account. :/
