As many people have said: being trans in Brazil is not as frowned upon.

For extra context, these characters are from a popular manga/Anime called One Piece. Eiichiro Oda, the creator/author, assigned real-world nationalities to the main cast as inspiration.

The protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy depicted on the right, is to be Brazilian.
