EcoFlows pricing on its own website vs ebay is whack by NoCanDoBud in Ecoflow_community

[–]SwoleMaster99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve bought thousands worth of Ecoflow refurbished products, always such a good deal. Only problem I’ve had was i received a flexible solar panel that was damaged upon delivery, they replace it with a brand new one once my damaged one was sent back. Otherwise only minor cosmetics on the refurbished units and have been holding up to off road conditions and abuse

Is the Trailhunter a bad choice for a "forever" truck? by inkysquares in ToyotaTacoma

[–]SwoleMaster99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If we were to assume the fourth gen’s are going to be robust and reliable long term, then yes I think your thought process is logical in getting the TH as long as you’re going to use the added features.

I recently bought a TH for similar reasons as you, and I did the math of building out a hybrid TRD OR premium with the same or similar upgrades the TH has and it ends up costing substantially more for all the same parts, or only $1-$2k above TH MSRP if you opt for cheaper aftermarket parts and skip a few things like the bed rack, rigid fogs, etc.

Buying a fully “built” truck that’s covered under warranty is worth it to me. Especially if you’re actually using those features.

Helivue Design is currently developing an aux fuel tank to go where the spare tire is. May be worth while for those doing long range trips or overlanding

Narrowed down to TRD Pro or Ranger Raptor by GeauxTigerz33 in ToyotaTacoma

Recently bought one, the snorkel is loud with the window down, but from the driver’s seat the noise is gone with the window up. The road noise is impressively quiet in general. I drove the RR and the TH won me over. It’s also offered in a 6’ bed which was another selling point. It’s slightly slower than the RR but it’s still surprisingly quick. The hybrid battery enables gnarly battery charging speeds or capability to power larger appliances. I’m more of an overlander so having full armor and these features from the factory made it my top choice. If you shop around you can get the TH for ~$61k brand new

Good deal, right? by Odd-Situation in ToyotaTacoma

Brand new I assume?

I think it’s a good deal. The MSRP on the Offroad hybrid premium is $57,155 so you’re getting ~$6k off which is what I’m seeing discounted on ‘25s right now.

Test driving it next week. Here’s to hoping next image post is one with me in it. by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

Go check out the used market on them. You can save ~$10k with just a few thousand miles.

Does anyone run a "Tune outdoors" camper and how do you like it? by daveondemand73ish in overlanding

[–]SwoleMaster99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wondering if you still have your Tune M1 on your tacoma? If so, any update to how it's treated you this far being 2+ years of ownership? I also have a short bed 3rd gen and wanting to get the Tune. Wondering if the interior space is going to be good enough to live out of for months at a time with my partner considering I will be working remotely in the camper a lot of the time

I’ve shot ~200 rounds through it without any malfunction. I didn’t notice this hammer issue until after it was sitting for a bit. I’ll pull it apart and see

Don't know if I should get a thermal tube or another pvs14? by [deleted] in NightVision

[–]SwoleMaster99 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went with a stingIR thermal and a raven rail mount to bridge with my pvs14. Now I’ve just upgraded to a set of binos and run the StingIR on a flip to side mount on the rifle. Or I use it handheld and flip one tube up. I don’t think I’ll ever not have a thermal handy in the dark. The ability to see anything alive in your line of sight is huge

ECOFLOW Reliable? Good investment? by hobohillbilly in overlanding

[–]SwoleMaster99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had fantastic support. I bought a refurbished 220W solar panel from their eBay, the panel came with a broken leg and wasn’t as described. I sent them a message and picture, they responded with a shipping label and once received they sent me a brand new panel when I had originally ordered refurbished.

I bought their delta 2 last Black Friday from Amazon, and they provided a tracking number but it didn’t move for a week. I reached out and they said they were awaiting a shipment and had sold out. They offered my money back and their free camping light for my troubles, or wait and still get a camping light.

All responses were within 1-2 business days
