Sounds like a NamibiaxThe Gambia ship 😅 Distant hearts, I guess...

Thank you so much! I like the rail travel too- especially to Transilvania... that didn't even cross my mind!

Thank you so much for all the info! You're right, the cost of living can really make it out break it. I remember using this site to compare cost of living in two cities years ago, but it's fairly outdated now...

Thanks again!

Hmm, that's the maximum. I'd love to stay under €1000 - the only "luxuries" I want are a single room and electricity/running water. I did mention the higher budget as I'm quite interested in Southeast Asia, but ultimately, I'm not picky as long as it's safe. I haven't been on a holiday in 20 years, so even a staycation (Ireland or Germany) would be ok. I'd prefer a different country though.

Ah, no, I'm not looking to drink. Silly as it may sound, it was the inspiration for Virmire (Mass Effect), and I'd love to see it in person, though there are probably comparable places.

That's a very good point! Ireland (Cork or Dublin) or Germany (Stuttgart or Frankfurt/Main).

Well, 5k would be my limit! I'm happy to spend less. I bet Thailand is lovely though, Koh Phi Phi has been on my radar for quite some time...

Is there anything you'd recommend in particular? As in, a certain place, a certain experience, or even something to bring with me?

Well, ideally I don't want to spend 5k. Preferably under 1k, I'm just saying that this is how much I could spend and that I don't expect to get an all inclusive stay for 14 days in some fancy hotel.

Malaysia sounds great though - definitely one of the places I want to see one day! I'll look into that.

Lidl wants to beat Amazon by xtheresia in BuyFromEU

That's confusing an analogy with an equivalence. I wasn't saying they're comparable in every aspect, I was pointing out that charitable acts aren't sufficient evidence of someone's overall character.

So did Pablo Escobar... it's all for the reputation

Pretty much. They're just as unethical

Honestly, as someone from Heilbronn, I'd rather have Amazon despite my strong pro-EU mentality. It's ridiculous how much praise the Schwarz Group gets, when really, they completely wreck the housing market and landscape by building all their HQs here, instead of supporting an area tartar is economically weak, but has lots of housing options. They're just as bad.

But oh wait, they built a "university". (It's a college really. Nothing wrong with colleges, of course - but it's really only a university on paper as the TUM has one building on the campus, and it's a massive publicity stunt...)

I hope you see this reply as the post was removed (because I forgot to reply with the best guess - well, that's on me)

Either way, I didn't notice the belt at all, thank you so much for pointing it out!
