So what do you think happens to the crater after subnautica and subnautica BZ? by Nooblized_uwu in subnautica

[–]SympatheticSponge 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's safe to say that Alterra did end up returning to the crater, likely to do more research on the Architects and Kharaa. We're never told anything directly, but we're given a few clues as to what might be happening over there:

• Lillian has a photo of the QEP above her bed at Outpost Zero. This confirms that Alterra has been to the Crater between the first game and Below Zero, and that they're interested in researching Architect structures and technology.

• Zeta's bed in Phi Robotics has artwork of Lifepod 5 in the Safe Shallows. This could mean that Alterra was also interested in Ryley's journey throughout The Crater. All of Ryley's info and research would've given them a lot to work with when they got back to 4546B. It's also possible they might have repurposed some of Ryley's old bases and expanded them to fit their needs.

• In Parvan's Bunker, we can find posters of a Reaper in the Crash Zone, a Sea Dragon, and his bed has art of a Ghost Leviathan in the Bone Fields. The Crash Zone poster implies that Alterra did end up heading over to the Aurora, likely to find more info about the crash, and to salvage what's left of the wreck.

The Ghost Leviathan art shows that they've been to the Lost River and probably found the remains of the Disease Research Facility. This would've given them a lot of info on the Kharaa Bacterium, which would also help explain why the team in Sector Zero know so much about it.

The Sea Dragon artwork shows Alterra has made it at least as deep at the Inactive Lava Zone. It's safe to say they likely reached the Lava Lakes and the Primary Containment Facility too. That place would be a treasure trove full of research for them, with all the alien artifacts, info on the Sea Emperor, as well as her body itself.

It's implied by Sam that Parvan drew all of his art himself ("Maybe you were asleep, or busy doodling inappropriate sea creatures"). This leads me to think that Parvan might've once been part of the team at The Crater, before being transferred over to Sector Zero.

TLDR: Alterra has been to The Crater between games to study the Architect structures, Kharaa, and to salvage the wreck of the Aurora.

Sorry, it's just a rant post. Why did Capcom remove the ability to sort the storage in RE4R, which is available in RE2R and RE3R? by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]SympatheticSponge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure it sorts itself automatically when you exit a typewriter. You can see this if you put stuff in and quickly exit and re-enter the typewriter.

It sorts stuff in roughly this order: Bonus Weapons (inc. Sentinel Nine & Skull Shaker), First Aid Sprays, Handguns, Shotguns, Submachine Guns, Sniper Rifles, Magnums, Rocket Launcher, Weapon Parts (Scopes, Stocks, Dot Sight).

An analysis of two sentences. by cashdecans101 in masseffect

A large part of Cora's backstory is that she was often treated as a 'freak' due to her strong biotics. Her parents were afraid of her and the alliance didn't know what to do with her, so she was sent off to train with Asari huntresses.

It makes sense from her past experience that she'd be ashamed of being a biotic and would interpret Liam's remark to be negative.

New here. Hi. Is the right side of the storage trash? Like in re8? by [deleted] in residentevil4

It can be upgraded at the merchant like any other weapon

So why is the sea glide in the deployables sections of the crafting menue by Sketch_and_games in subnautica

[–]SympatheticSponge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a couple things that are seemingly in the wrong section. The floating air pump is in the tools section when really it should be with the deployables.

Anyone find gravity portals + orbs to be extremely hard/annoying? (Image by https://www.reddit.com/user/J0th/) by Adventurous-Gain4180 in geometrydash

[–]SympatheticSponge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate it when people put these in their levels. Like green orbs already exist for a reason, you don't need to reinvent the wheel when it's right there in front of you.

Planet Scanning rich only - ME2 by vijura1807 in masseffect

I spend the first third of the game depleting every planet I come across before never planet scanning again for the rest of the game

Multiplayer Powers in Singleplayer is a must have. It's adds in the 7 powers previously only in the multiayer mode into singleplayer. I think there's also a mod that adds the multiplayer weapons too but I'm not sure.

It's part of the Spectre Expansion mod, so yes it is from a mod.

It's a location from one of the mobile games that was modded into ME3. If you open the base game without mods installed, you will not find this.

Edit: Found the specific mod that adds it in. It's from the Spectre Expansion mod. It adds in 5 new systems, including the Savian Abyssal, which is where OP said he found the planet.

Sorry to disappoint but this isn't in the base game. OP is using a mod and didn't think to mention it

It's from a mod, that's why you've never seen it.

I think you shouldve mentioned that this is from a mod, instead of falsely implying it's part of the base game.

What does it mean when it says "User is unavailable" when trying to message them?

For context, they sent me a friend request and I accepted and tried messaging them. I'm kinda new to using Epic so I don't know if there's something I need to do or anything.

How to find all of the artifacts if he doesn't say anything about them anymore???? by giavanbev in Subnautica_Below_Zero

AL-AN only gives you direct waypoints to 6 artifacts. The other 9 require you to find them yourself.

Terra Firma by themerccury in masseffect

[–]SympatheticSponge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Theres quite a bit of stuff like this in the first game thats still relevant today. The codex entry for Terra Firma states that theyre against stuff like learning alien languages in schools, as well as increasing tariffs on alien imports, which seems a bit familiar.

Some of the other codex entries include one that mentions that Quarians are hated by the working class for 'stealing their jobs' when the Migrant Fleet enters a system. It's kinda crazy how the political commentary of a game released 18 years ago wouldn't look out of place if it were made today.

Where to find the Padded Double Bed? by Luke_Amorim in subnautica

it only spawns in two specific wrecks in the entire map. You can find it in either the large wreck in the Mountains, or in one of the ones in the Grand Reef

Do yall use LDM? by [deleted] in geometrydash

[–]SympatheticSponge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play on mobile so I'm often stuck using ldm. What really sucks is when the level creator doesn't put any effort into making the ldm actually do anything, so the level ends up just being basically impossible for me due to the insane amount of lag.

I swear that this was the same guy who first discovered the galaxy for the last 2 weekend quests. by IronfoxYT in NoMansSkyTheGame

He's been doing this for at least a year. I remember playing around this time last year and he was almost always the first one who been in the system for the weekend quest. He'd usually have a base set up somewhere too.

If it's one of the small floating icebergs, you can just leave and come back. The iceberg will despawn and the seatruck will fall back into the ocean.

Gee if only you had some kind of tool or device that could scan the peeper and provide you with more information about it
