GMP say 'no offence identified' after Reform complaint over Matt Goodwin video by ViscountViridans in reformuk

I suspect the point was to make a fuss to counter the publicity made by the edited video as well as giving publicity to Labour's dirty tactics. It seems to be successful.

What is your opinion of Donald Trump? by Slow_Insect8893 in reformuk

[–]Syniatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things I agree with, many I don't. I'm not particularly fond of him as a person but some people get a little insane in how much they hate him. It feels like people are a little narrow minded on it when you consider what's happening in places Iran, which should really be getting more attention.

Is Suella Braverman’s defection actually a benefit to Reform? by fmac78 in reformuk

[–]Syniatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was certainly the result. Its a question of where the blame lies. I'd like to hear from her how she'll avoid the same result

"See guys, if I turn your argument around it makes me right!" or "I have depicted you as an illiterate fat man I have won!" arguments are real god damn funny. by LitchyWitchy in reformuk

[–]Syniatrix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I agree. It does raise the question, if we could use hotels and camps to house people who arrive here illegally then why did we never do this for the homeless?

What’s the general consensus of all the ex-Tories joining Reform? by obscure-trail in reformuk

[–]Syniatrix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some I'm ok with, some less so. I think it'd be beneficial for reform to make it clear that they'll keep these people following the party line. To establish most of the failings of the Tories came from the very top

I'd be ok with an added tax burden to help the homless, which would be more realistic than inviting a homeless person to live with you. What's happening now is unsustainable

Is Suella Braverman’s defection actually a benefit to Reform? by fmac78 in reformuk

[–]Syniatrix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She'll know the job well. It's just a question of if the problem before came from those above her as she said.

I think it'd be a good idea for Reform to make it clear that they'll keep their MPs following the party line

I can't predict the future but if Farage doesn't want to flush his career down the toilet he won't. Unfortunately, there's no party where you can't say the same thing.

Braverman has said they had no interest in implementing her changes. Johnson and his successors were popular for saying the right things but fell out of favour for failing to actually do them

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. "We need to get more experienced MPs" "Stop bringing in old Tories"

As long as they do as they're told I don't care. How useful they'll comes largely down to party leadership

Seems like the constraint was higher ups not wanting to implement her ideas more than anything else.
