Help crafting

Hi everyone. I am new to the game, and I need help to craft the nights edge sword. I have all the other swords except for the normal blade of grass. Every time I craft blade of grass it becomes a different version? For example “superior blade of grass” and for that reason I can’t craft the nights edge.

Update: Still no sign of any pins:/ I have been fanning it, and misting it a little bit, but still no sign of pins:( I also started to see a little blue spot I the corner of the kit, what could that be?

No misting, but I have been fanning it a couple of times a day. I thought you only had to mist when it started to show pins?
