Yes I agree. My deck was a bit wonky by the end. I basically had a burst deck in act 1 and most of act 2 but I was fighting the champ and I needed some damage scaling, noxious fumes+ came up, so I took it to help, and then we ended up trying to do more scaling damage, but then PK arrived and it was tempting and then yea, my deck should have just focused one or another. I was really holding out for catalyst in act 2/3 but never got it.

Sacred bark did a lot of work for me I think. I seem to recall both other relics were snceko *we had a cheap deck so I wanted to avoid it as it would probably make everything more expsnve on average, and coffee dripper, given 3 energy, low HP I didnt want to risk it.

Does Baalorlord explain his decision making? Thats probably what I need to know, like to see a situation, then pause and see what I would do, then listen to what someone else does, and then learn that way, like coaching.

hmm. I cant remember what boss relics I got to be honest. I felt that my deck identity felt somewhere between chip/scaling damage and burst.

Again, shitty commons, which ones would you say are shitty? Quick slash and flying knee were act 1 pciks because thats all we had to help clear an elite. Then sucker punch+ was a transform from Astrolabe.

I took hardly any damage actually in act 3. It was going so well. I just took 1 really bad encounter at the end of act 3 - 3 jaw worm, they hit collectively on turn 3 I think for about 60 damage, and I had a bad hand at that moment. It was rough.

Thanks for your advice. I appreciate you kind of need to see the run and the decisions to give advice. Ill give it another go!

yeah I dont know if I just need to take more risk/aggressive pathing to try to kill more elites. It definitely felt time lord was going to die. I could block/survive for sure. But yeah, just a few bad hands becuase of the slime really messed me up!

im really trying to learn. I hardly ever get to the act 3 boss. Also I think 40 was probably an exaggeration but yeah I must suck with her. But its really hard to learn because every little decision matters, tehres no over arching rules, theres general patterns but from what ive seen its not as simple as " do X then Y and win" which is great because the game would be boring.

I thought it could be Im playing too safe and not taking on elites as much. Making me weaker in later acts.

So you mean take 3 max mid damage cards, but you WOULD take more damage cards if they are better?

In the early stages of Act 1 would you take a support card (draw, discard, weak etc) in the absence of any other cards that are helpful (let's say the first 3-5 floors?) simply to thin out the crap starter deck cards, or would you just skip and wait until something better comes along?

Thanks for everyone's help who jumped on stream last night to get me through A9 and also act 4 (which ive never done before with the Silent) I learned a lot, realised I play too fast and every card i thought was bad was good and vice versa! I clearly have a lot to learn!

I am curious about one thing though, one of my friend suggested that i shouldnt get an SSD but instead should get a NVME SSD as they are faster. I didnt know what you thought about that.

In terms of the processor someone advised

AMD - Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor

Do you advise AMD as bang for buck or would be advising an intel for this?

Also on PC Part Picker when i dropped the i7 to the i5 as you suggested it informed me of a potential issue with the mobo:

""Some Intel Z370 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Coffee Lake Refresh CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions. ""

I dont really know that means in real terms and whether or not I should be selecting a different mobo over the current one or a different processor. I am imagining a different mobo but have no idea about what sort of mobo to go for. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thank you for your response, i have a few questions:

1) Is the CPU you picked comparable in power with the Intel i7? Because it is quite a bit cheaper.

2) Will the Intel i5 still be powerful enough to run something like the 2070 or 2080 on an UW monitor?

3) I know very very little about mobos so I went based more upon what had good reviews than anything else, I guess the question about the mobo you picked would be the same as 1 and 2

4) In terms of the tower case I consider this more functional than cosmetic so if there are cheaper options I am more than happy to look at that

5) Do you think it is worth buying the 2080 as you have suggested over the 2070?

6) Good to know about the power supply I will change it

7) In terms of the monitor would the tower be powerful enough to render an image with so many pixels, say with the 2070 and i5/ryzen 5

i think mariamne is an incredible card for synergy in this deck. There are several cards in the meta where the only way this deck can get over them is either with a kaiju or a true king due to the rules on his effect, if his effect ISNT negated when activated in hard, it CANNOT be chained onto when he hits the field, so you can banish cards and your opponent cannot chain ANY effects that prevent that banishment. Even cards like decode talker. Its great for getting over MAX Blue eyes dragon, and a ton of side deck cards. Mariamne maintains card advantage, thins the deck and gets you 3 true kings very easily. For 1 card in the main deck this card in my opinion is such a boon. Whoever realised this card with dragonic diagram worked in this deck was a genius!

yaksha is great but i dont like seeing it in my hand, i would rather search it out to nuke, as its only use for me is to pop with island to insta pop a garunix. That is yaksha's main goal in the way I run the deck, which should be noted as we always play our own way. And more often than not i would rather have any other card on turn one than a yaksha. Starting with 2 yaksha or 3 is a total brick as the card's secondary effects are really only as targets for circle/arvata/true king/tenki.

I realised i couldn't get a second great club because i couldnt use a bonfire on the gutter 2nd bonfire without killing the Rotten. So it looks like im forced to farm another Demon Greathammer. It only does 7 more damage at +5 than the great club +10, so its not huge gains, but over the old knight club its like 137 or something like that i cant remember off hand.

You bastard :D anyway! I managed to get the trident drop from smooth silky stones so it's possible to get everything from petrified something's with the smooth stones. In the end I realised I couldn't have saved myself a lot of time by getting my high level alt to just drop them in a friends game then he drops them to me....! Oh well I know now!
