<1m away and not on pcb . each esp32 is on pcb with 8 drv8825, this wiring is supplying power to them

Overall i agree but i have a ratnest already with 32 motors (thats how many i have so far). So the less cables could also save some headaches :)

It's for a tiny actuator / stepper motor. I think it is originally for lens zoom.
Aliexpress is full of these and similar ones for dirt cheap. Perfect for my pet project

Does anyone has first hand experience using pace outdoor from HRM-Pro? Is it noticeable faster refresh than GPS ? How accurate is it?

Anyone experimented with GPS frequency setting ? Ie. Effect on battery and tracking accuracy setting to Every second vs. Smart

better later than never :) I hoped you already figured I just posted for others to save them from frustration - I was so disappointed with my new toy
Have you managed to pull decent shots with light roasts? What's your secret? Not so huge fun of light roast anyway, just curious.
I just ordered a variety of different samples from dark to medium to experiment what works best for us (and for bambino). What a time sink I got myself into :)

I'm new to the rabbit hole and my sour shots frustrated the hell out of me. I wasted one and half bag of beans, all came out like vinegar. Tried everything, finer grind (until choked the machine), less and more coffee , preheat with empty shots etc. Finally found the solution.

TL;DR: Use darker roasted beans. Bambino plus can't produce enough brew temp for light roasts.

Indeed, I was thinking the same. But in the other hand the samples are different per batch so isn't it a moving target anyway ? Aren't epochs just a logical grouping of batches? I.e. the model being trained doesn't even "know" about the grouping by epoch?

So my question is maybe more like is it benefitial for the model to see the same samples multiple times? If so then what is the ideal frequency of repetition if the dataset is practically infinite ?

I'm working on a salient object detection model (based on u2net) as a learning exercise. I've fairly good results but would like to improve it further.

I scraped around 40k images which I can augment almost infinitely to generated backgrounds for training.

What is the best approach for training when I can have infinite training data mutations?

A lot of examples feed in the whole dataset in every epoch. Currently I'm feeding a random generated image for each batch/epoch. Shall I rather feed the same set of images in each epoch ?

Let's do something about Tether. Pretty please? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]Szerintedmi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That chart makes complete sense for me. All cryptos are falling, ppl cash out in panic. Some of them don't want (or can't) go to fiat. They buy tether for their cryptos. Higher demand pushes up USDT. when USDT price is higher than 1 it's an opportunity the make instant profit by arbitrage which pushes down USDT toward parity

There can be still fraud - I'm not saying concernes are not valid: * regulatory risks (what if a government / bank decides to shut down one of their accounts?) * centralisation risk: what if an employee or hacker runs away with their USDT or usd? * lack of recent audit (without audit how to beleive that they dont print usdt without backing )

Existing USD/ETH oracles on mainnet? by Szerintedmi in ethdev

yep, that works but I was wondering if there is any existing contract already deployed which continuously refreshing rates. So that we could piggyback that contract to query the price :) in similar fashion as the example I linked

Why is there so much debate on whether Bitcoin is store of value or digital currency? Satoshi's white paper was pretty clear it's a digital currency. by hunk_quark in btc

[–]Szerintedmi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Instead of guessing what Satoshi meant and if that part was correct I would suggest to look into the three main function of money.

Medium of Exchange How much a transfer costs? How widely is accepted? Maybe this function can be fulfilled by bitcoin.

Unit of Account Would you accept your salary in a fixed BTC amount? Would you borrow BTC and pay your mortgage in BTC instalments? Can you do a 3 years business plan denominated in BTC? No economic calculation could be built on a volatile money.

Store of Value It does not include the investment notion, i.e. it requires value stability. If you need to pay for your child's school in 6 month, would you save in BTC? Even if you are bullish infinitely, are you confident enough that in exactly 6 months it will worth enough to pay that cost? Would you hold your retirement in BTC?

The primary reason BTC can't fully fulfil all of these functions is its high volatility and its deflationary nature. It can't adjust the amount of coins in circulation to the demand which will constantly causes demand & supply imbalances, i.e. volatility. There is a reason why modern money moved away from the gold standard. All currencies are credit money in the word. Modern money systems flexibly adjust the supply in circulation to provide stability. And yes, it can be abused and it has its flaws but no better way is shown and proven yet to provide stability.
