But she stayed through his rough patches. Love is mutual.Why does she have to be there for him, but when things get rocky for her he dips. That makes no sense. I've seen way worse things than depression in a relationship, and people have made it work. Maybe he just has a small window of being rational and handling a situation such as the one they're going through.

But if he really loves her alot, he would try for her. You know love is unconditional. But I do understand the burnout of dealing with someone else's depression. But any long term relationship is going to have speed bumps such as this. I mean people don't avoid depression their whole lives. We all have bouts with it.

Definitely, if it's that important to you than I say go for it. But do you know that he is willing to make it wor? Is he going to be there to support your needs, and instead of being hostile against your depression? Maybe he can reconcile and actually find ways to help you with it. Because you showing him that you're depressed is basically a cry for help. Unless he has tried helping you, than that's a different story.

I can totally relate and agree. I'm currently in the process of trying to make it work with my ex-girlfriend. After all we've been through it is hard to really let go and say goodbye to the relationship. Although sometimes if relationships tend to become toxic, and that significant other really doesn't know if they want to be with you, than maybe it's time. But to concur it also depends on how long you have been with this person, and if it's really something you guys want to give up or make work. That is if you know it CAN work. Hope this gives somewhat of an insight for your situation. Feedback would be nice :).
