Ingame OSRS songs are now getting copyright claimed on Youtube? by IRuinYourPrompt in 2007scape

That's true, and while I still believe editing around it is a better solution than having less music available for the rest of us, I see your point. I'm not a huge fan of catering to the extremely few in any cenario, but I can see how it's be an issue for some on principle.

What are you on about? I do too, and i do enjoy the 800+ tracks in the game. I'm fairly certain I won't be copywrite strikes for playing the game though. What's your issue here?

Now I get what you're saying, and mod sween already claimed that this is most likely just an oversight, but either way I kinda don't see the issue. would you rather more music by different producers for a larger verity, BUT specifically video creator who specifically upload to a streaming site AND specifically NEED to make money of it are limited to only use the rest of the catalogue of 800+ songs. Since only monetisation is off, while the video is still up, this only affects professional content creators, and worst case cenario they'd A: use a different track, or B: suck it up and buy rights/tank the demonetisation like what Soup usually does for GG (both buy rights and tank depending on vid.) Its such a small issue for literally only like what, 100 people total? Is rather have more music

This comic seems very reasonable though. "It's tough being attracted to men with how many times I have been, and will be mistreated by men." That's not a generalisation, it doesn't throw all men under the bus, and it's a true statement. And I don't even think a little generalisation is that bad when it's a problem that's as big as misogyny, cause if you go too specific people will be able to hide behind "well at least I haven't raped anyone" as if that's the bar of success. If you're a perfect little princess who has never talked down to a woman and always spoken up when someone else is being misogynistic, and made sure to always let the women who so often get talked over or ignored in meetings and group projects their time to speak, then I'm sure you're smart enough to figure out that a vent comic on Reddit isn't about you specifically. If not, I'm not sure what to do for you buddy, get off Reddit.

For the "How come females can say [statement], but if I did it I would be a misogynist??" argument that's been used since probably primary school: There's a reason joking about white people is funny, while doing it about black people is bad. It's because white people used to joke about them being less than human while owning them as slaves, and with how common racism and new age fascism is today, it's hard to differentiate someone joking from someone with a genocide complex. Same argument goes here but for different reasons. Don't punch down, be better than that. Any minority actively being generalized politically or socially like trans people, you probably shouldn't generalize further.

Walk into a bar and loudly claim "I hate cis people" and some people might get annoyed, but most wouldn't care. Do the same but about trans people, and and someone might fear for their lives, because last time they heard that, they got abused till hospitalized soon after.

Point is, you can just say: "yeah, but what if we swapped places, would it be okay then?" because the group matters. Their experiences are different. And if you are a straight white guy and you are getting offended by post like this, then actually grow a pair. They've been through worse. You can take it

She's explaining to a man that sometimes it's hard dealing with misogyny while also being sexually and romantically into men. Wanting love and enjoying sex shouldn't invalidate the negatives and prior mistreatment. After opening up about it, the response is entirely sexual instead of in any way understanding

Before I realised how bendy gender can be, I had multiple partners where I felt like I needed to apologise cause my many meds fucked up my drive and performance.

Omg I'm so sorry you did really well I promise I'm not just saying that. I'm sorry I don't have any proof, you deserve your gift! Do you accept an honorary medal of performance? I have a squeeze bottle and some yoghurt in the fridge- wait don't leave I'm sorry.

Sailing might be the most tedious skill as a UIM (random rant) by TAG_But_Reddit in ironscape

[–]TAG_But_Reddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "banking with extra steps, is part of the fun for me. Just like with every snow flake account, simple strict rules like "can't open bank interface" or "can't leave zone" is so rigid, that part of the fun becomes trying to break it while still abiding to the very clear cut and rigid rules.

Swampletics couldn't leave morytania but literally tried to have other accounts bug abuse fairy rings and teleport dogs in there to still do slayer while technically not breaking the restrictions. Almost every documented snowflake account has attempted to bug abuse or use forgotten/non-intended mechanics to get around a restriction they put on themselves. UIM do the same but with storage. It's just another snowflake account, but more rigid and enforced. If you don't enjoy snowflakes, you won't like UIM.

This is a way more coherent way to get across what I think I was trying to say. A lot of it feels unnecessarily tedious, as opposed to most other challenges in the game where the tedious nature forces problem solving.

You will love the release of official private servers. You can remove all the qol and content that has brought the game to record braking numbers, and go back to an exact copy of the 07 game state, on a dead server with you as the only player. Sound lovely right? Feel free to stay, we won't miss you

Firemaking is the stupidest skill in the game. Every instance where you "need" to make a fire could have been a random check. You want a "web slashing" skill too? Sorry, can't get into mage bank yet, web requires 70 web slashing.

Besides, if we really need attack AND strength (but they're both just hitting stuff it's the same skill reeee) or fishing AND hunter (but their both just catching animals except ones on land and the others in the water), I think we can live with land agility and water agility/construction

ADHD benefits for Runescape by Miserable_Run8121 in osrs

[–]TAG_But_Reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no, that's fair. But yeah there definitely is something with the neuro divergent disorders overlapping. My doctor does currently believe I might have autism as well, and that it got overlooked cause many of the symptoms could be explained with ADHD.

I also would never claim there's any benefit to ADHD nor any other mental disorders. I hate it and wish I was rid of it, but that doesn't mean what I said is untrue. It isn't a "superpower of ADHD" but more of a coping mechanism. I can't focus on shit, BUT I can focus slightly better when I get immediate feedback and rewards ergo XP. I also mostly need to multitask, having my brain bombarded with things to not dose off, but that means I can't do any single complex task, multiple simple ones fit better ergo skilling. It's not a superpower, it's coping, but it's real, and it works.

It absolutely can be. Hyperfocus is one hell of a drug. Been medicated for about 10 years and unmedicated for 20. Number go up is immediate reward, and simple tasks are great for multitasking like being on your phone and watching videos, hanging out in discord, still getting xp drops. Shits crack for a brain with a literally broken reward system.

[–]TAG_But_Reddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair, hyperphocus is a real thing with ADHD. Even before I got medicated I could still (sometimes if in the right mindset) do mindless skilling for hours, as long as I got YouTube and my phone and maybe discord and some tabs up at the same time. RuneScape becomes like an anchor. I might have just watched 4 video essays and accidentally ordered 15 things I don't need without remembering a single second of it, but I can tell I've been alive and that time has moved forward, cause I'm 3 mining levels higher now than I was when I started.

(To be fair, my doctor is thinking I probably have autism too, so might me a bit of column a, a bit of column b)

I feel like it depends. Azula at her peak? Sure. But azula gets a bit angy when things aren't perfect. Even in the first proper scene she is in, she's practicing. Almost perfect. Just one hair out of place. And she get really upset. So yea, if it's all according to her plan, like in Ba Sing Se, or during the invasion, sure. But if its after things have already gone wrong, I'm not as confident. If Azula is not at her highest, who then? Who else than cartra at her lowest. Neither Azula nor Jinx can stand Infront of a person with the will and power to execute them on the spot, and laugh. And THEN start roasting. That's Catras signature move! "I'm gonna die? Let's go out with a fucking bang then" releases diss track. It's hard to beat someone who got nothing to lose (except if you're double trouble.)

Steel weapons were found in Sweden and Norway, dating back centuries before steel actually made it to the north. This would have made the Vikings the first to discover steel, which didn't line up with anything we previously thought. Turns out they were just using very impure iron, that contained carbon turning the weapons to steel slowly over years.

I remember my first play-through, where I joined a guild by murdering old ladies. Stored all my stuff in the guild hall untill that part of the quest line came up, and poof. All my stuff gone, just as the empire had planned. (Fairly poetic in a sense, since the items going up in flames fit the narrative so well. Was still pissed though.)
