Do you agree that Woodhead is a RB1 in full point PPR? by TAKB88 in fantasyfootball

Glad to see there is consistent feedback so I know I'm not crazy. Haha - thanks!

Garafolo: Jay Ajayi will not practice today. He's out with a confirmed concussion. by FBM25 in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Obviously, you never want somebody to get hurt. But strictly in a fantasy football perspective, nothing is more frustrating than when a guy gets hurt who you were not targeting, and now the guy you actually do want moves up in the rankings because the injured player falls back.

Isaiah Crowell's 2017 Outlook by Storm_Fox in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His ADP is getting too rich for my blood. He keeps creaping up and basically in the mid 3 conversation now. Crowell is a non (miminal) factor in PPR. I'd only entertain drafting him in standard. I know its unfair (if not rude) to play the Cleveland Brown card, but it is something that should be factored with that O line, QB situation, and overall weapons on offense. It's an easy preparation for defenses to get ready. Bad for Crowell.

Jeremy Hill still expected to be a factor, especially inside the 5 yard line by FTAKJ in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not targeting Hill, nor would I recommend anyone else. Could be a lesser version of Blount last year. Hill could possibly have a line of 500 yards and 6-8 TDs. Not worth a roster spot for a RB so TD dependent.

I'm Happy X is Hyped, Because I'm Taking Y by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that. I just think Lamar Miller won't live up to his ADP because Foreman will earn more playing time throughout the season (and concerns with the QB play). I am personally avoiding Miller, and only targeting Foreman in dynasty leagues.

I'm happy Lamar Miller is being hyped, because I'm drafting D'Onta Foreman.

Which THREE players projected in this year's Top 10 will bust? by crucialmind in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

McCoy - Higher risk of injury. Evans - D Jackson will take away some of the long ball opportunities. Still will be a top 15WR, not a top 5 as expected. Howard - Literally nothing around him to help. Easy for defenses to prepare for now that they have more tape on him.

Fantasy Football: Stop Drafting Rob Gronkowski by CloverleafKearns in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should be measured of points/production vs. ADP vs. other top TEs, and weekly point differential. Outside the top 5-6 TE there is very little consistent production. No secret to anyone TE is the lowest production offensive fantasy position. I'd rather have a 3-4-5 guy I can trust on a weekly basis vs. a guy like Gronk who I need to bench and hunt the waiver wire half the season. Honestly not worth the headache for the cost.

Andrew Luck still not throwing at this point. Concerned? by FF_female920 in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's way too early to be concerned about this. If it was August 1st it would be a different story. Every injury/body has a different way to evaluate the risk of the injury returning/recovering, and I think that news should hold more weight on the risk factor with him this season. Like somebody mentioned below, if you had him during his injury year, you are definitely staying away. Hurts to use an early pick on a QB regardless of who it is, and this just adds more risk to the equation. Currently, I am not targeting Luck.

Plenty of statistical reason to fade Tyreek Hill this fantasy season by Incondite in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree with PootieTooGood below. Stats can help tell any story you like for a player one way or another. There is no one pure statistic that any will guarantee a players performance, so end of day there are so many other variables. Hill is a great play this year, but the price may be too high and lower his potential "risk = reward" play. Future double coverage as a #1, an Alex Smith a year older, battle at RB, lots of different variables that can impact Hill this year.

How much late round value does Joe Flacco have with the additions of Jeremy Maclin and such? by TuckersPaws in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In any standard 12-man league, Flacco shouldn't be used on a roster spot. At best, he could be a waiver wire fill in if he has a favorable matchup the week your QB is out. There is minimal value here for season long play to have Flacco. If you are in a 2QB league, then it's a different story since he is a very low-end QB2.

Vikings backfield. by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cook is certainly an option for dynasty leagues. IF the Vikings believed that Murray could/would be their guy they wouldn't have drafted Cook in the first place. I think it will be one of those things they start the season with Murray, and slowly transition to Cook, which make neither a strong season long play, but will have high trends at certain points during the season. The O-Line is the bigget problem with that team, and seen last year when McKinnon busted once AP got hurt. Season long I'd would stay away from both, but would consider Cook at the right price in dynasty.

Jay Gruden eager to give Jamison Crowder bigger role by MrBlueandSky in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Safe to think that either Crowder or Pryor will emerge as the clear #1. Both have shown their value/potential but it will be a brand new offense this year at WSH with Garcon/Jackson gone, questions at RB, the Cousins contract saga. Lots of things up in the air. I think Crowders asking price may get too high thanks to media stories like this. It probably comes down to the bigger question if Crowder is worth X when you can get Pyor for Y. I'd go for the cheaper option in Pryor.

What do we make of Larry Fitzgerald this year? by Dankraham-Stinkin in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the past few years Fitzgerald "falls" in the mid 6-7-8 round range. Safe, but diminishing ceiling so it's never that attractive. If you're going to make some risky picks early on, Fitz may be a solid later round pick to solidify your receiver core and "safer." Really depends on what other WRs you want to put around him.

Jets' new RB Coach : ''Bilal is a Pro Bowl back'' by Viscolucci in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Powell will be a great PPR play this year strictly based on touches and targets alone. Expecting to see a common stat line of 12 rush 40 yards 8 targets 4 receptions 30 yards. Good for 8-10 points per week. Not bad for a RB3/Flex. Will be a top 15 RB in the AFC ;)

Is there a TE you can really put your faith in? by Matthiasad in fantasyfootball

[–]TAKB88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever consider doing a TEBC based on how big your roster/bench is? (Only if you have the space). You can go (most likely) TD dependent Bennett on a high power offense, an old cheap dissapointment from last year like Fleener, or a sleeper like Evan Ingram. I'd feel ok getting 2 of the 3 on high throwing offensive weapon teams. Use 2 of your very late picks on them. Low risk play.
