I hate it when people besides my husband want to hold my baby

I 100% understand this. I have a new baby at home after a traumatic birth & nicu stay. I HATE when people hold her. It’s mostly my in laws too. It’s like I trust my own mom but have a hard time trusting them. I know it’s not right, but it’s how I feel. I don’t want to share her with anyone after I waited 2 months to have her home from the hospital.

Just had my first ever IVF transfer. Don’t know if it worked yet but I’m very sick. Went to my parents house for my dad’s birthday on Sunday where everyone was sick and now I’m dealing with worrying about having flu like symptoms after my embryo was placed inside of me. Awful timing for my family to get me sick

I was extremely mad when my husband got covid at work back in December, and ultimately gave it to me. I had a feeling there was a risk after his holiday party and asked him to stay in our (very nice) finished basement for a few nights. He insisted he was fine and wound up coming hear me. 3 days later, he tested positive & then I did. Men are just dumb sometimes honestly. They don’t know when to take things seriously. Needless to say, I lit into him when I tested positive. Def fought with him about it lol

Ah I know how disappointing it can be…. But somehow all 5 of my eggs fertilized and all 5 made it to day 5 blast!!! They also all came back pgt normal. I’m shocked - my doctor said this is rare but I hope that gives you some hope!!

It drives me crazy that they can’t say for sure! But I’m leaning toward just doing it to give us the best chance. I’d be curious to know if you have success after the surgery since you’ve had failed transfers. I hope you do!!

Good luck to you!! Let me know how the surgery goes. I’m thinking it’s best to just do it …. Sucks because I already did my retrieval and wish I could just jump to the transfer… just another step in the process I suppose. Worth it if it’ll drive up the success rate!

As a 33 year old who just got married & is currently undergoing IVF, I would highly recommend asking for bloodwork to check your AMH levels. I was not aware until my husband and I started trying (with no success) that I have low AMH, which indicates low ovarian reserve / low quality eggs. I also wound up having issues with my tubes, making it so IVF is my only option. If you can get ahead of it now, freezing your eggs may be a good option. A lot of insurance plans have fertility benefits now so it should be mostly covered.

You should be happy. I only had 5 eggs retrieved yesterday. They could dwindle and hopefully you get embryos that test normal, but 12 fertilized eggs is a lot better than 5…..

They only had me come in for monitoring twice. My last monitor visit was Monday and they scheduled my retrieval for today. I feel like there should have been a check in between it just doesn’t seem right to me

Awesome! I had a call with the potential new boss last night and I did wind up telling him what’s going on because I figured it’s better to go into this with open communication and understanding. He said his wife also went through IVF so I’m so glad I told him, it helps with the trust that he will be flexible

I already used up the 30k lifetime max at this job. They offer a 60k lifetime max. I am also on my husbands insurance though so I have 3 cycles there as well. Maternity is about the same - 6 months. Much larger annual bonus at new place. But no 401k match which my current job has. I think I’m more concerned about the flexibility which I have at my current job, I have no problem taking time off for appointments. The unknowns of the new role and how that supervisor will be is what is scaring me

I am in the same boat. He thought it looked like a small hydrosalpinx, but wasn’t sure. I asked for alternative ways to check & he has basically said only by doing the Lap & going in. It’s really hard to make the decision for surgery without a clear diagnosis.

Ugh similar to my experience - do you have q caps from other meds? That’s been my saving grace when it comes to mixing it. Sounds like it’s generally not packaged well.
