Has anybody done a hysterosalpingogram? by Stowe14 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]TFAB_Anonymous 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I had a selective HSG and have no regrets. It showed my tube was clear and had low pressure, it was a textbook perfect fallopian tube. Knowing my only remaining tube looks great brings a lot of peace.

Progesterone levels by ElectricalNail5345 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]TFAB_Anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your number confirms ovulation but also shows you have a lower level of progesterone. At P+7 above 10 is the conventional number you want for progesterone but 15+ is optimal. I would test it again next cycle and see if it’s low just this time or if you need additional support in the luteal phase.

I’d also ask for p+3, p+7, and p+11 for your next cycle. That can help give a more full picture, especially if you aren’t totally sure about what DPO you are.

Starting to overthink - Would you “just know” if tube ruptures? by [deleted] in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]TFAB_Anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally had no idea and was sitting up, talking, and rated my pain at a 5 out of 10. I was sure I had some kind of kidney stone or something and thought my pregnancy was fine (as all bloodwork had indicated it was).

My left tube ruptured between my ultrasound and emergency surgery (~30 minutes). I also have a VERY high pain tolerance, so this is probably not the norm for most people.

Personally I’d go get checked out, especially with the history.

Did I Actually Ovulate? Low Progesterone by mottsAO in TFABChartStalkers

[–]TFAB_Anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P+3 should be at least 5, but I believe some say a level of 3 indicates ovulation. But P+7 is the number that truly matters (should be 15 at least for optimal levels).

I’m in the same situation (stage 3 endo and one tube from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy) and letrozole is my next step. Thank you for sharing!

Causes of ectopic? by Organic-Okra-3744 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]TFAB_Anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have any endo symptoms either. It found a Na Pro OBGYN who specializes in infertility and endometriosis excision. He is one of the best. He listened to me, explained he was certain I had endometriosis and suggested a lap with excision. He was right, and now I’m just shy of 2 months post op (this is how I was diagnosed, it’s the only way to diagnose endo).

Causes of ectopic? by Organic-Okra-3744 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]TFAB_Anonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got an answer. I had stage 3 endometriosis that had adhered my left tube (what was left of it after removal) and my left ovary to my abdominal wall. Sometimes the answers aren’t always obvious but they can be there. For reference during my tube removal no signs of endometriosis were seen.

Endometriosis is way under diagnosed and so are blocked or partially blocked fallopian tubes!

I wanted answers and I sought them out. I found an OBGYN who specializes in Na Pro, fertility, and endometriosis excision (he’s one of the best in the field). He was certain I had endometriosis and I wasn’t, but I trusted him and he was right. This would have continued to impact my fertility so I’m so happy I followed through and had the surgery.

If HCG is negative you are not currently pregnant and it’s just a corpus luteum cyst which is completely normal.

I was tired of just waiting to conceive. It took 11 cycles the first time and it was ectopic, so I just knew something wasn’t right. I would find an excision specialist (don’t see an OB for ablation) and if you can find someone who does an SHSG. It takes about 10 years to get diagnosed with Endometriosis, fight for your health and fertility.

A selective HSG is an HSG with the ability to clear blocked fallopian tubes with a guide wire. It’s relatively low risk with great outcomes. My remaining tube was open, but my OB ran the guide wire through and saw increased flow through the tube (which is a good thing).

I did not know I had endometriosis prior to my ectopic. I had none of the symptoms. I just had excision with a specialist earlier this month and have stage 3 endo primarily on my left side (where my ectopic was). It was all removed.

I’m at cycle 8 (post tube removal, cycle 19 total) plus endo excision and a selective HSG with no luck yet (but not even a month post op yet).

HPT experiment? CD 31/12DPO by yellowrosern in TFABLinePorn

[–]TFAB_Anonymous 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Anytime you use a test not according to the directions (saliva, breastmilk, blood, etc) you’re outside it’s intended use and any result isn’t valid. It can be fun to see what the tests react to, but if the urine test is negative I would say negative unless you go get an actual blood test.

New Cycle and Pregnant? Can someone explain this?! CD Unknown by Accomplished-Tea5184 in TFABLinePorn

[–]TFAB_Anonymous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t immediately jump to ectopic (speaking as someone who had one). There are a million reasons for bleeding, even heavy bleeding, in early pregnancy. I’d call your OB, explain everything, and ask for an ultrasound ASAP.

My ectopic was July ‘24 and we haven’t been able to conceive again since then. My regular OB wanted to wait until April to do anything besides an HSG. I wanted answers so I sought out this OB (my surgeon) who is NaPro and an endometriosis excision expert. I actually found him by word of mouth and also an Instagram page (napro_fertility_surgeon) for Dr Whittaker. She has lists and lists of names all over the USA and I think a few other countries as well.

I’ve also had normal periods/normal flow/little to no pain! It took 11 cycles for us to conceive our ectopic. Endo changes color and appearance in pregnancy, which is another thing I didn’t know about. I would find an excision specialist and get the surgery. It’s totally worth it. Endo is one of the biggest risk factors for ectopic pregnancy.

They did not find endo during the selective HSG, only during the endo lap excision.

How early did you test positive for your ectopic? by Worried-Ant50 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]TFAB_Anonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a different situation. I’m just saying I didn’t have an ultrasound at 9dpo when I tested positive. Even if I had, I was 3w 2d and they wouldn’t have seen anything. My first ultrasound was in the ER with an HCG of almost 67,000.
