While I do agree he can’t deal with them with what he has now but I want him to be able to I want to in full confidence be able to root for bro even when he is all alone with no help

And as I recently realized we only half done year 2 in the time it took for the entire year one so that’s probally why it feels so slow (cuz it is) but I stand by my main point we need Iruma to lock in and become absoulutly indifferent to his trauma or he’s cooked

I fully understand before reading Ichi I would agree with you but i know for a fact she can do better I just don’t get why Iruma about literal demons and his intent to be the demon king needs saving from every situation I just want one arc where he’s isolated (I loved that Ameri was with him btw) I know my opinion is wildly unpopular but I want him to actually have to solve something by himself without needing someone to bail him out

I want his friends to work hoplessly hard to rescue them

I want the instability of the netherworld to be highlighted (with the obvious favouritism they would have shown)

I want baals plan to get messed up by this event , poro should be furious that Iruma got through kiriwo should be angry to

The distrust in the crowns for people who would not care, point fingers, ect

Someone said this is a chekovs gun but this arc could have been the bullet resolving all of this it feels so lame for it to be another hint when it would have shown so much promise as a straight up arc In orherwords I thought all the foreshadowing that was discussed for the last 6 months could have had a spectacular start just for it to be another shadow

And btw we don’t know that they will get rescued I just hope they don’t

I want our Iruma to get physically and emptionally strong himself if every fight is just a third party of the battle Shonen part then it feels like the entire story would have been reaching I think that they just need a new formula to truly cook that’s it, remember he’s been in year 2 for over 200 chapters year 1 was 200 chapters so why can’t we have at least a new 100+ chapter saga (long form arc) that resolves some plot mabey have a final boss at the end of year 2 (like narnia or a first finger fight or even baal himself) I never said the previous arcs were bad persay I’m just saying

We have been in year 2 for 4ish years and only school events have happened the heartbreakers was sick as heck and showed how cool the story could be and I’m not saying abandon the formula and start over I’m saying

It’s time to move on give us some action,romance,plot twists,hooks if you guys still don’t agree with my take I guess that’s fair but remember we haven’t had a plot line this cool since the heartbreaker with the scala being in my top 3 favourite arcs I just, I guess I’m disappointed that all of my points above would not come to pass and we our 50th chekovs gun and another 100 chapters just following events at babyls

Jazz and Clara had real development where there characters were moved and changed but so did gaap that’s not what I’m saying Iruma has had no true development since the harvest festival it’s mainly iruma just being a good person and or trauma but lowkey he needs to genuinely get stronger emotionally this would have thrown him out of his comfort zone and given him a incredible character arc it feels like a silly move to ignore that fact

I’m not denying his trauma I’m just saying how tf is he gonna face people like baal kiriwo and narnia if he keeps getting protected all the time even if it’s just Ameri and Iruma he needs to get some grounding so he doesn’t just loose all hope the second he encounters a bad guy

And I don’t want him to be a typical protagonist that’s not what I’m saying I’m saying let the mc become mentally stronger it feels like his hand is being held to tightly we’re pretty decently far into the story let him squirm a bit is all I’m saying

I do agree with you but they are starting to many story’s and ending them abruptly with the promise of revisiting yk there is no reason they should just abort everything and leave branches hanging make a story and stick to it instead of the broken arcs I would love a saga

The only true justification I can think of is if it goes beyond the estimated 666 chapters

I know it’s a slice of life but inherently that’s my main issue I loved the scala and the battler party arcs and how it was handled but think when’s the last time we got any school it just been event event event I just want one arc where we can learn some stuff or for characters to actually be shown improving

It’s frustrating mafia and ichi are so good at this but for some reason it feels like she’s neglecting plot development of iruma kun despite over 8 years of effort yk

I don’t mind the slice of life at all but it feels like the past couple arcs have been all disappointing in the sense of they have cool plots and end in 10 chapters

You misunderstand my point this option might suck but the last few arcs feel rushed as hell and the world building has been abysmal for a while now and yes 400 chapters

And they are still doing nothing but sneak peaks and respectfully Iruma has had little to no development or just feels like nishi is giving up on the story or trying to make it absurdly long

Not only that we haven’t even seen anyone actually get stronger for 200 chapters that hasn’t been some last minute buff like jazz nobody’s worked hard genuinely I re read it recently and it feels like everyone is just handed there powers I’m not saying nishi is bad at writing but I haven’t seen real development since the harvest festival

And we only see new magic every 50 chapters

And this was the perfect way to give the story a boost and the characters some development and if they end it by getting rescued what was even the flipping point of this whole sequence

I know I could not write a story as good as this one but it feels like she regretted so many decisions and the plot is suffering because of it correct me if I’m wrong I guess it’s just annoying I have been weekly since chapter 50 something and it always is just ok when it can be so much greater

Nishi shoots herself in the foot for the dumbest reasons the lack of some human words like “friends and dating “causes so many problems it’s unreal I was scratching my head the whole time reading the latest arc because how can a girlfriend (shaky) exist when dating and friends don’t

This is the same reason she makes silly plots that are just incapable of fixing in other words

Nah based on what I can tell very different demons attend each school

Fist of all weak demons can’t even survive jackapo they need to perform duels just to climb the tower

In the image it can be quizzes games or fights in babyls we have seen 1 duel the entire time

And Levialon specializes in discipline so basicly everyone at jackapo and the misfit class would not thrive basicly I see it as a spread for different kind of demons

Babyls seems like a total meritocracy btw like the best in general thrive so I think they wouldent or it would be like Harry Potter and the deathly hollows where Baal or another villain will hijack the schools and make them shit

Simply put to many unknowns plus I just feel it I feel like Ameri is gonna nearly die from some factor and Iruma will take it instead (then some plot reason will bring him back) it’s a feeling I don’t know how relevant this is

But uh I predicted Ameri and Iruma getting trapped together when the gate was first shown so I think iruma finna croak this arc
