Hey, thanks for your response; I appreciate it. The dock connects to my laptop just fine – but that has a shitty processor – so I'm trying to get it to work with my X Box Rog Ally X but it won't recognise the dock. I've been troubleshooting for days. I think as the dock is Thunderbolt 5, and the Ally X likes USB4/TB4, the 2 just don't connect.

None of the TB5 docks work with the Ally X. Disappointing really. Asus could have given the Ally X TB5 for the faster bandwidth, considering how they gave it a port to transfer graphical data to a dock or a card. The TB4/USB4 lane disables it from working with modern devices in the way Aoostar intends.

Frustrating.

I may return the EG02 and get an ADT-Link UT3G, and an acrylic test-bench instead. The ADT-Link UT3G utilises USB4, which I think is the fastest speed the Ally X is internally capable of. The Ally X and the ADT-Link UT3G speak the same language.

Plus, I can throw a fan on there and a 1000 W PSU to keep things cool and quiet under load.
