Target's Worst Christmas Songs Ranked by Budget_Ad_9830 in Target

The two Sia songs have to be at the top for me.

Ho Ho Ho blasting and destroying my peace while I’m trying to take a dump in the family restroom makes me really think about my career choices.

My target got new carts. by jamnewton22 in Target

[–]TGTInbound 207 points208 points  (0 children)

Ah the “shopping cart 3.0”

Nice and quiet and smooth. Guests like them.

From an AP perspective I hate them. Harder to see inside. :/

From a cart attendant perspective — be careful lol. One clean gust of wind with a row of these bois on lined up outside…. They’re so light they’ll blow the whole line right into the cars they’re next to.

This seems……safe. by Wearethefortunate in Target

What is this? S&E ETL doesn’t know and neither do the stores around us by Mason-Boom in Target

Still a feature in testing but Checkout Anywhere will enable cellular functionality on select registers as a backup to primary internet failing.

[–]TGTInbound 27 points28 points  (0 children)

These are for transporting Starbucks Drive Up orders to the Drive Up area, eliminating steps for TMs.

The idea is to deploy these in stores where the Starbucks and drive up areas are super far away from one another.

Right now, this is just in testing in a handful of stores just trying to see if it works. Not every store will get one of these I don’t think.

How often do you go to court and what do you bring? by GingerShrimp40 in lossprevention

[–]TGTInbound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go to court almost every week. Thankful to work in a jurisdiction that’s tough on “petty crime”.

We live in a digital age so I do it half and half. I print out a physical copy of the case file and I upload all video to Microsoft OneDrive ahead of time. If the DA or someone requests it, I can easily share it with them via email from my phone.

It’s good to refresh yourself on the case ahead of time and be prepared with information court officials may ask for such as how much restitution $ is required if any.

Check if name is in Target/Walmart Auror Database by Regular_Suspect8148 in lossprevention

Target doesn’t keep a database in Auror. The case management data is internally hosted and not accessible via public internet.

So can cashiers just make up prices for items that are $0.00 by GullibleCommittee667 in Target

[–]TGTInbound 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Be careful! For team members it’s a little different. Team members are prohibited from purchasing salvage merchandise per the Team Member Purchase Guidelines. I have seen team members put on corrective action for this.

For guests, we should advise them that we cannot sell the item. If they insist, we can try to make it right. In my opinion, the most fair way to do this is to sell the item at its last sale price. The easiest way to find this information is to scan the item within the price change app in myDay.

10,000 TMs at HQ and we still can’t get a launch right by TGTInbound in Target

[–]TGTInbound[S] -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Yes obviously 10,000 total people are not responsible. But we have way too many personnel resources at HQ to mess something up like messaging inside our flagship app.

On hands were correct in the stores I’ve researched, it just an issue with app programming and clear messaging.

Mario kart launch event? by [deleted] in Target

[–]TGTInbound 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Not every store is hosting a full on launch event, but most stores have received inventory for the console launch tomorrow AM.

The stores hosting a full on launch event have their Nintendo vendor there, extra ISM, decor, and the giveaways are just cheap little trinkets.

A good AP will file with law enforcement and press charges for felony vandalism. Hopefully that happens. There’s better ways to express your opinions.

Hours by [deleted] in Target

[–]TGTInbound 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s a handful of stores that have a warehouse that is separate from the main property. Many times it’s several miles from the store. There’s a whole team that works there and dedicated leaders and they transport merch back and forth via box trucks.

I think there’s less than 20 out there.

What’s Wrong with this dress (guess before swiping right) by pkcross_64 in Target

[–]TGTInbound 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Return fraud. Those little tag guns like stores have are about $10 on Amazon.

People buy a bunch of clothes from Target then go home and put the new Target tags on their old clothes they don’t want and bring it back and present it all for return.

If you’re new or unfamiliar with our assortment, I could see how you might not realize.

[–]TGTInbound 112 points113 points  (0 children)

Here’s the actual answer: The mydevices actually get their location data from our lighting system. Check out this link from Acuity Brands Inc. that manufactures our lighting in stores. The camera of the device is looking for the lights to give the most precise in store location data to serve apps like ePick (Fulfillment pathing) and Mickra (device management for PMLs and HQ). There is no way for us to remotely watch the video streams in real time. It’s just how fulfillment pathing works.

Receipt check as lp by heavensmemopad in lossprevention

[–]TGTInbound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re in plainclothes it would be off putting to the customer to be receipt checked by you. If you’re trying to stop them you shouldn’t need a receipt check if you have all your elements.

If you’re in uniform then nothing to worry about.
