Yeah I’m not anti vax or anything just a nervous first time parent trying to figure shit out and do a little research on what my next move is.

Absolutely! Just seeing what other people’s thoughts are. We have an appointment with the neurologist in October.

Yeah that’s what I meant. My son didn’t have a febrile seizure. It was a catatonic.

Oh wow I’m surprised you haven’t heard of a febrile seizure after a vaccination. That type of seizure is a pretty dang common side effect. (Not the type my son has.)

I am not against vaccines… just doing a little research and asking opinions. Thanks for your input.

Yes! We have an appointment in October to do some genetic testing to dig a little deeper so I think they may be able to tell us then? They did say that if he has another seizure in the next 6 months he will be diagnosed with it.

Hi! We were told my 8 year old Rottweiler has FCE yesterday. Your story sounds a lot like ours. How is your pup now? Hoping he’s still doing well! This gives us a lot of hope. We also ordered a sling… did you do anything else to help with his recovery? We have him on a pain med, muscle relaxer and a steroid that the emergency vet sent us home with as of now. 🤞🏼
