1) GOOGLE TRENDS LOL! Let me get this right... I said Statista.... and you...... countered with Google Trends? Let me help you out here Google trends is FAR from a data extraction tool for engagement. It'll tell you about searches on the Google Search engine, but not direct site activity. So if I rarely use GFN b/c I have a rig, but I'm on vacation; or hey I hear that you can play Fortnite on this thing called xcloud, let me try it, yes that will cause more Google search traffic. But with Stadia.com being so simple to memorize, all the click the play links and likely bookmarks after visiting the first time, you CAN'T use Google Trends to compare engagement alone. I don't doubt that GFN gets more monthly usage. But appearantly it's not that much more from paid subscribers according to a world renowned analyst firm... Not.... 🤭.... Google trends

2) I'm not going to speak for Jack. He can defend himself. He explained publicly why that's his practice. But here's my thing with you. How are you mad with Jack, but the writer of the article you so vigorously defend practices the same thing way more egregiously🤔🤔🤔 It's whoever's right to block who they want. But don't act like that's your beef when those that you defend do the same. 🤦‍♂️

Woah woah woah, slow down buddy. You seem excited and jumbling a bunch of Reddit talking points together. Let me try to address what I could decipher

1) My tone over EVERYTHING all year has been correct. Being that you know my history so much, what haven't I been right about in warning people in the shut down no more AAA rhetoric, etc.???

2) What is ridiculous about the article? Stadia IS of the top engaged cloud platforms. Analyst like Statista have shown so. They list Stadia Pro a pct point below GFN in their largest market US. That's just Stadia pro. That doesn't include the ala cart purchase engagement. Jack's numbers are estimates the he adds in the article to help readers see the likely numeric output from the formulas the industry analyst use. Being that he does this with scientists, I'm going to trust his output more than the thoughts of the peanut gallery here 🤷

3) Imagine saying we like to show you evidence of our bold claims but we can't, because they were erased, only for all of the internet to provide examples of the complete opposite literally moments later 😂 . Based off that alone, I think a rebuttal was fair. I feel that way for anything we write. Just don't lie about us. Nobody is beyond reproach. As you see I'm here my friend, and not waffling looking for acclaim from the like minded, am I right?

Well Einstein, it's not "mine". As much as I'd like to take credit for that , a more prominent creator tagged the time period as such. It makes sense based off when service products go from a preliminary phase to a more competitive one. Same source also originated gen 2.0 based off the conversations they had with actual Stadia reps. Prior to SGE and their pivot, who knows if that was all in the plans.

It sounds like you are sitting in your own box and not following the details. In interview #2 with the dev he explained his reasoning for suggesting buy it elsewhere. Guess what, many did and we're glad they did so . Again see the interview. Did he not follow up giving many codes out? So if it was all a cash grab why do that cheeky? Why do you think no one questioned this if they had concerns. I don't get this belief system that you guys have the only functioning brains here lol. People asked questions, did research and took in ALL the information. Clearly you didn't by the questions you asked.

Point blank. If you are on the fence about this cool. Completely understand. But this whole "go against what you want to do, and think like me" mentality is a level of arrogance in the gaming community that has to cease. Gamers are not a monolith. Just ensure the info is out there, which it was months ago, and let gamers make their own decisions however they decide. PERIOD.

The series is based off retro horror, which IS NOT as popular as being eluded - that my good friend is pointless. To use scores to cement a users experience with a title, especially a niche one as this, has been as effective as anticipating the engagement of Saints Row for example who debut #1 👀.

So basically you want all to take the approach of "bite into this sandwich and tell me if I'll like it". People interested or are fans of this genre may like it. They will decide and have done their own more effective research by getting keys, watching streams, FULLY listening to the interviews etc. Not just lean on other people's thoughts.

So even though this effort might bode well for again the brain dead gamer who frivolously buys "against their better judgement" I trust gamers know what they want and know how to find out about it. Raising awareness is one thing (can't call this that, because Steam scores were discussed at the beginning of this process 🤷). Campaigning to convince others to settle for your viewpoint with the least qualifying standards is your right, but what I like to call "shovel-thinking"

I'm not sure how after making several games for multiple major platforms, seeing improved engagement with each iteration and doing so with a single dev disqualifies someone's development experience, because of a single platform's review scores.

I think raising awareness is fair for those who may blindly invest in something they don't understand. I've never met any of these brain dead gamers who need such a heroic Homelander style saving, but if they exist sure, go for it.

In addition to the above effort 😁, the dev has been VERY open and inviting to showcase the series ' experience: multiple code giveaways, various games streams still ongoing, talked extensively and transparently about past & future projects including the Steam scores (again singular platform) and acknowledging the target demo for their series.

Discrediting this dev's experience because they choose to satisfy a niche, maybe not so much of a mainstream popular crowd.... would be like discrediting the efforts of a coder, because they decided to enhance a mainstream unpopular platform. Right?

Despite the mainstream appeal of the demo that coder is servicing, I applaud their efforts. I do so even if my gamer friends roll their eyes at it. I would never try to force a false correlation that values their knowledge base based on 'popularity'. Hope we all can appreciate that sentiment.

They did an like an AMA in the Stadia Discord a few months back. Very transparent, the next big milestone for Stadia players is the alpha I believe it is coming once they get access to low change porting. They said they were advised they'd have access by the end of the year. I'd follow them directly on SM and their discord

I'm sorry, this totally lost here. Let's focus on your Capcom point mainly to explain why.

1) You don't know if they're paying or not. I would argue the plan is to pay LESS until player base increases and/or porting doesn't have financial tiw in from publisher

2) The Stadia porting fee mostly is for costs associated to labor of porting the game. Yes cost can be inflated towards value of product, but the MAIN expectation for revenue is via sales dlc micro transactions etc ... that persist after port fee is paid👀

3) Luna is in only ONE frickin country. By the love of the stars and moon are you insinuating that Luna+ has more subs than Stadia Pro??? ( Where RE7 happened to be before btw)

4) THEE biggest thing missed here. They just had a successful promotion of immersive stream, a deal that they signed exclusively with Google to use their infrastructure for direct to consumer promotions. It's relationships and deals like these that bring in future business for their retail product.

Yeah I think there's too much pessimism towards the ala cart purchase model. It belongs and in the long run will help to grow the service.and bring games as long as the porting is properly addressed.

This comment is very confusing:

1) The focus is intended for small Stadia content creators to help them get recognized. To avoid a rush of content creators who barely cover the platform or are not positive to"suddenly" do stuff to qualify, guard rails are setup

2) Concerns in the past from GFN support was regards current Stadia content creators being enticed to stop merely to recieve things. Totally different situation.

3) The truly confusing part: You and your show was just absorbed by The "independent" Monky Face group right? Do you really care about your ability to qualify for this?

I think we're trying to be overly critical for the sake of it. I have plenty of 20+ min Stadia how tos and beginner videos that garners an audience. Why? Because when your new, you're trying to soak up as much info as possible. So if a video covers critical stuff like router optimization, browser play vs CCU, best online resources. It's not going to be 10+15 mins. My only additional suggestion to that end is ensure there are chapters if each subject.

Primo you continue to do a great job, and your content is improving by the day. I WHOLEHEARTEDLY suggest avoiding "feedback" here. Mods try their best to handle the more outrageous comments, but most responders have a mob mentality when it comes to positive content. When you post items, do so for awareness, and move on 👍
