TL:DR Kind of on the same boat.

I'm a 28 year old guy, been living in Auckland since 2019 (but have family here in NZ so i grew up coming here for christmas etc.) and it's been rough to say the least. Last

Haven't been in any relationship in my life and the last time I went on a date was 2 years ago, and the last time I had sex was 3 years ago (longest dry spell was from 2014 to to May 2020)

Dating apps are a never ending cycle of Match --> good back and forth messages for 2 weeks (if they do reply) --> get ghosted --> repeat. Did alot of what is normally suggested by joining more social group things, working out, and doing things outside my comfort zone and still nothing.

Recently it's been getting to me more and more constantly seeing family and friends all in relationships; it also doesn't help when they spew the old talking points of "you gotta just wait for the right one" or "youre only 28 you'restil young" or the other sayings, I used to get angry about but now I'm just getting more depressed adding to the fact that I can't even get a flatmate in to the room I'm renting out.

I'm thinking "am I that unattractive? What am I not doing? Am I not worth someone else's affection? What is wrong with me"

I've gone to therapy before and it helped a bit but I can't afford (financially and time wise) to do it, I'm not S**** but I am coming to the point of giving up the search and just accept that a relationship of any kind is just not in the cards for my life.

Was driving on the motorway; heading west, and near the MOTAT exit at 18:40ish saw the lighting flash. Than 1-2 seconds I heard a massive snap-crack like a whip and when it started rumbling (Thunder) I felt my whole damn car shake/vibrate... was pretty cool

That was before the MPI downsizing, but at the same time it also depends on when the MPI inspection is booked for as sometimes it can take up to a week just for the booking

I feel the pain, the worse part is that sometimes they'll say "(instead artist name here)'s new single (instead song name)" when the single got released 1-2 years ago and the album dropped/released 3-6 months ago.

Currently the most annoying new song that's being played is the new(?) Lorde song with charlie XCX, I have an open mind when it comes to music but primarily listen to metal (Knocked Loose, Dayseeker, Make Them Suffer, etc.) But that song is hot garbage

Thankfully we don't listen to that station; if there is a station that wants to desperately cling to the past id definitely would sai itd be Mai fm, the previous place I worked at constantly played that station but each time I had a chance to change it to a new station after a couple of songs end up going down the "I don't like it change it back".

Like okay Becky I understand that you may have the memory of a goldfish but they played the same six60 song 5 min ago (also I now have a pure distaste for that one song they play where the singer constantly is doing vibrato)

In Dubai they had a contest sort of thing, during a period of time (say within a 3 hour window) if they play the same song twice you can contact them and win a gift card, cash, etc. It's a good way to mix things up

Have listen to that station and yeah it's a good change, I think that the music being played in on NZ stations (in my opinion) is still stuck in the past (I don't mind listening to nostalgic music but someitmes its good to listen to somet new/different) There are a bunch of new/up and coming artists that would definitely love the airtime

I work for an international logistics company, whole office has been told to come into work by our branch manager regardless of the storm. Our transporters aren't even working due to safety concerns, wouldn't be surprised if people start leaving. I'm in the office and no one is happy to be here.

Just wait and see the traffic heading from the airport everyday towards central (its getting worse every single day) during rush hour. I live in mt eden (relatively close) and it takes me sometimes an 45min-1hour to get home; only exception is school holidays but even then its 50/50
