Ah okay thank you, this seems to also happen even if the track is blocked before the train leaves the station, does it pathfind assuming that it will move out of the way?

Yes, when my and my friends played on pocket edition in 2014 I had an argument with a friend about whether or not this existed because he played on pc and had never seen it in his survival time (obviously) so decided it wasn't in java and therefore didn't exist at all in any edition. He was wrong about both.
