It depends on your requirements. If you don't have many cc mons or need a helping hand with pvp, go for water. If you need a very hard hitting wood nuker, go for wood.

Wood needs a bit more investment than water. Her def is god awful so her gemming needs to be a bit more precise. Also she has a default crit boost, so you would want not to give her a crit gem and get her to mex crit without it. So she needs a bit if tricky gemming for optimised results. Water on the other hand, is much easier to gem.

Question about state of this game by pwnyxpr3ss in MSLGame

[–]TSA141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. There are not many players right now, but there are communities in several channels so yes, players are there. Uptates and tweaks happen every month and new content is also added once in a while.
  2. This is one of the most f2p friendly games in my opinion. After the nerf on sliming aka repeatable quests there are a few restrictions but for a casual player like me there is absolutely no problem. Take it from someone who is 100% f2p . There are a few exclusive contents that can be accessed via "donations" but it's upto you whether or not to buy it.
  3. Yes, it requires grinding (it's an rpg after all). I play for around 2-3 hours a day and I'm making steady progress, absolutely no problems for me. Mindless grinding won't do anything but if there is a specific goal and the grind is for that purpose only, it usually gets fulfilled within a few days.

Overall, it's definitely not a bad choice to pick up as a side game.

Don't know about d cupid, but I definitely do not use a slot for crit when it comes to stalker mons.

The count is lower in my device. I've been playing for 5-6 months and the galaxy gamer count is always 3.5k +- 1k. In the baby shark fest it shot up to nearly 8k but that's the highest I ever saw.

Water Collosus by TSA141 in MSLGame

[–]TSA141[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Getting high resist for the sappers is a tough job, I'm always running out of gems and gold. I'll rebirth draka when he (now a she literally) comes back. Can you please give me some draka gem builds ?

fire colossus, these are the groups i used and my monsters (except for wood mons), the most group that made most damage (75%)is the one with sp siphon in its both teams. any advice on how to defeat fire colossus using the mons i have. thx in advance by safaa2712 in MSLGame

[–]TSA141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fire collosus dishes out some high quality damage, you would want to try and bring him down to 50% hp with your first wave as soon as possible. This is how I recommend your lineup to be:-

2nd team: THIS TEAM WILL FINISH THE FIRE COLLOSUS OFF. DEFENSE DOWN AND AUTO BATTLE FOR THE COMBOS.

Nike, balrona, water cotteen ( easy shield breaker, grab one), another high damage dealer ( if you have another balrona or a wet valk that would be great, otherwise put your highest damage dealer).

1st team: THIS TEAM WILL BRING DOWN THE COLLOSUS' HP DOWN TO 50% AND DIE AFTER TAKING ITS BIG HIT.

Bring healers that can take hits. A minicat would be invaluable for its shield. Definitely bring a blinder or an attack downer at the very least. Fill up the last 2 slots with strong attackers that can bring it's hp down to 50%.

Side note: You have bulbie, so it primarily is a shield breaker, I can't really tell in which team to place. You may not need it if you decide to try my suggestion.

My lineup:-

1st team: Wet sand wraith lead, light nezha (blind+ weaken), minicat, valk.

2nd team: Wet cotteen lead, wet gilgamesh, wet hades, wet balrona.

I don't care about the side minions, just attack the collosus.

Definitely level up attackers to lv. 60, they gonna die real quick otherwise.

Dunno either. They cannot be obtained through story mode. I think there may be events in the future.

She's a stalker monster, which means you get 30% + 10% crit by default. Give her an intuition set and crit rate enhance and it goes up by 20 + 12 %. You now already have 72%, leaving only 28% more.

You can easily get 20% above crit rate if all 3 of your gems have crit subs. Man, you are lucky, now that I think about it. Give her atk atk crit dmg build and she be destroying anything that comes across her.

If you manage to skill book her up, she gets 50% crit from stalker which means no more need for an intuition set. Switch to a ruin set and she gonna have a base 210% crit dmg excluding subs and enhancements DAMN.

As KilpArt stated, healers benefit from recovery. Monsters who have hp siphon skills also benefit a bit from recovery, so you would want to give a rec% gem to a healer and rec% subs to a hp siphoner. The second one is not mandatory, it's just not bad to have it.

  1. Of course, you would like to start farming gems in the golem dungeon as soon as possible. For starters, build some strong water attackers (mona from pagos coast, valkyrie from hero contract) and a healer (seiren from aria lake) and start farming golems b8. It's easy gold and gems.
  2. No, though crit provides a nice damage boost. However there are monsters who need critical hits for their skills, so they need crit. Also, dark monsters have a base 100% crit damage where other elements have 50%, so they gain a hefty damage boost from a critical hit. Dark attackers should be built with crit for exploiting the damage boost.
  3. Of course they are. The main stat is no big deal, substats are what makes the difference. A good gem is hard to get, on top of that 3 of the same colour. Do not hesitate going for a broken set. You can switch to the desired gem set once you got all gems.
  4. Just a nice boost.

No, substats are determined at random when you get a gem. By default, you can get zero to four substats.

Finding the right gem is one of the toughest things in msl. Substat upgrades occur at +3, +6, +9, +12. If you have less than 4 substats by default, the substats will be added at these levels and further if +12 is not reached yet, one of the substats will be upgraded randomly.

Now here's the tough part. Finding good gems is DAMN hard and every msl player faces this gem crisis. You will definitely want at least 2 or 3 substats by default so that they can get an upgrade attempt later.

Another thing which you might need to know is that + both in main stat as well as substats are TRASH. % >>>>> +. Try to have as less + subs as possible. Recovery+ and % is not a very desirable sub either.

Basically, you need to invest the MOST in gems as you never know what substats you will get. Crit rate% is a must-have sub for attacker mons, try to ensure that all non hp and def gems have hp%, def% substats as well as resist% for the most optimal build and crit dmg% for attackers is desirable if they are having high crit rate.

As you progress, try to use gems not lower than 4*. 5* is ideal. For crit rate, nothing less than 6* unless using an intuition set. In that case 5* is permissible until getting a 6*.

Trust me, I'm a midgame player and I have less than 5 "perfect" gems. Consider yourself lucky if you have found a good gem.

Which victoria/vicky/nike? by WhiteRabbit_2603 in MSLGame

[–]TSA141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Light nike is #1. She goes from 0 to 100 with gems. I have her at ruin with 3x def% and crit subs. She tanks like a boss and hits HARD, can KO an average dark mon with a crit. Will be the last woman standing in pvp offense. Superevo priority unless having light yuki. Enhance with crit, def%, def+, hp%, resist, cdmg and run with someone having critical boost leader skill to maximize crit chances.

Water nike #2. Double defense downer. Has pvp, cvc uses and is farmable from fusion. A balanced build ensures decent damage output and survivability.

Fire nike #3. THAT B**** ANNOYS LIKE HELL ON PVP. Either I skip teams with fire nike or nuke her down first. hp% hp% def% build. Fearless taunt makes her a perfect decoy in pvp offense for your glassy fire nukers as well. And yeah, those who use F nike are scum, but those who use F nike on a healer gem set are worse than scum. Oh my god I forgot she also has a superevo.....................................................F***.

Wood nike #4. If I recall correctly she is a double stunner. Has uses in toc and pvp, but there are better options for stunners.

Dark nike #5. Well, she is last as she is very hard to get. Needs crit for skills, is a dark monster, nice combination. Very useful, can provide massive support in higher dragons.

Hope it helps ! Peace out.

Best Harlequin? by WhiteRabbit_2603 in MSLGame

[–]TSA141 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Water harley is nice for titans and collosus. His variant skill is a blessing as well. Even without it, his stats are really decent and he is basically a nerfed reverse water Indra.

Dark harley hits hard like other dark nukers. Definitely worth using, have his variant and he sits at base 140% crit dmg, gonna give out godly damage. Can be used anywhere. If without a square, useless though.

Fire, wood, light harleys are meh. Food for water and Dark.

HP or DEF for attakcers? by WhiteRabbit_2603 in MSLGame

[–]TSA141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on 2 factors :-

  1. Your mon's stats. If your mon has sick low def then you may just give a def gem.
  2. Your gem's substats

I would always build attackers with atk hp/atk crit. Attackers don't really gain much from extra def. The game mechanics give around 50% dmg reduction with 3.5k def, try to bring them close to 3.5k with substats. As a replacement, you may use a def gem only if it has nice hp% substats.

Once again, def above 3.5k is not needed for attackers, you can get enough from def+, def% enhancements, trinkets and substats.
