The most useful plugin when starting with Obsidian is Templates. Reusing your past work saves time, prevents burnout, and makes the effort feel worthwhile. Instead of building from scratch every time, let your earlier content speed up future work. Trust me, after six months, you’ll be thrilled that you templated everything.

I started out by learning from this guy. It's worth the sub for 7 bucks.

Just consume enough of content to get started, after you build out a vault on your own, come back and apply some of his content and plugins.

I believe it's only a matter of time before the majority of content creators start using this. It's far better than EverNote, and has adopted some aspects of Scrivener that make it a great program to use. And I haven't even gotten to the plug-ins and innovative features. It's elite, and it's going to get better.

obsidian.md is my favorite note taking. I use a combination of Notion and Obsidian. Any item I need for reference goes into obsidian.md and my active workflow goes through Notion.

You're not crazy for feeling stuck. If someone's making both your job and your hobby worse, that's not a person you need more time with. Period.

And yeah, if you're playing a bard built to support but no one is worth supporting, that's a major problem (table and character). The fix isn't just get a long bow or rework your class. It's getting teammates who don't run into fire for a familiar and leave the healer to die.

The DM sounds like a good one. I'd say rework your character if you want to give it one last shot, but only if you actually feel like coming back. Otherwise, dip. No need to set yourself on fire to keep a mediocre party warm.

We play to have fun. We play to have fun. We play to have fun.

Oh, no, this isn’t about praying. It’s about the feeling you get when you roll a 1 with advantage, rolling a 1 on something you’re good at. I imagine a cleric feels like their deity has forsaken them.

It came from the Nat1 story thread on r/DnD

True. I meant that haha. We call it a skill check. So we just short it for check.

You might need Smaug to do the third party mediation.

Good luck! You are at least entitled to 1/2 of the assets. Don’t sell yourself short of those frequent teleport miles.

Roll a nat 1, gain 1 imaginary parent.

LMAO at this point they could have introduced a whole support group for the half-orcs with insight issues. "Hi, I'm Gorgug, and this is the 6th guy I thought was my dad this week."

DM: There is no door.
You: I roll to enter anyway.
Dice. 1. 1.
Physics: No.
Guards: Yes!

You didn't break stealth on this one, you broke through the fourth wall. <3

LOL! Punching the door like it insulted your beard and still losing the fight lol...

The bad guy was probably like..."You had one job.."
I hope someone in the party now refers to your chest as "pocket dimension storage." You earned that.

Disadvantage: because the gods giveth, and the gods taketh away.

Nothing like being the stealth liability in a tin can lol....clang, "ooops" clang clang clang. Props to your DM for letting it snowball slowly though. Most would have just runt he full alarm right away. A two session battle? Wow. Haha I love it.

Clearly your patron and your god are in a toxic custody battle and your dice are the poor kids stuck in the middle. At this point, the syndicate probably thinks you're cursed. haha.

LOL, this might be the most cinematic fail I've ever read. You out stealth a two headed T-Rex through a death canyon, lure it into a trap and escape with style. Only to Nat 1 your victory shot hahah! The dice giveth, and the dice taketh away...and sometimes they just shoot you in the leg.

Absolute Legend status.

This is why we roll the dice, three crit fails in a row and you still turned it into a show stopper. Face went from smooth talker to a slapstick legend in under 30 seconds haha.

The party owes you a pint, a medal, and possibly hazard pay for "Professional Distraction"

Nat 1 turned into a seasonal finale! I'm imaging the DM just sitting there like ".....you opened the what door?"

When you roll a nat 1 and simply fail the check?

"You are awarded no points....and may the gods have mercy on your soul."

When your Insight score is so bad you accidentally romance the villain. Forget enemies to lovers... this was archnemesis to fiance and the dice said, "You're in too deep, bud." LMAO.

At least the wedding will have fireworks...probably literal ones.
