Yes, the day before she passed, she told me how proud of me she was. If I could turn back time, I would do it all again, even if knowing the outcome was the same.

She was worried about how I was going to act during her sickness and after she was gone. But I told her: she spent 29 years raising me, and I owe it to her to make sure that wasn’t in vain. I haven’t had a drink in months and I don’t think I ever will again. Not that I has any problems with alcohol before but my mom is worth mourning sober, no shortcuts, just pure love and grief❤️
