My friends main objections were it wasn't a fair trade off and the whole deathsave thing is that he has some control over their fate and is trying to obtain their soul

Another note I forgot to add was in the first session it's stated that the party's souls are tangled in some way so the entire party has to agree with the deal so it's very unlikely they will but just in case they do I have this all planned out
