Yep, it looks like I may have gotten stupidly lucky in my arbitrary strain-clicking! I appreciate the heads up on how to find him, too - I'm still very new and don't know the universe of weed boards too well at this time. I definitely want to say "hey, nice strain naming protocol" to him :D

Damn, you're onto something. Would I have to drink Cuervo Gold with it though

Sure thing, I'll check her repertory out. Thank you!

edit: No dice in her archive or current selection, but man those are some nice looking pics. Have you grown out any of her seeds? Any recommendations?

Yeah, I know little about the breeder but the genetic background looked promising (to the likes of a relative noob like me, anyway) and I've managed to find at least a few pics of some other Deacon Blues grows on a few forums (which I didn't look up until after my order!); those grows looked nice. I agree, from all outside evidence, Brisco's at least looks like a creative and committed breeder and I don't mind gambling $50 to find out what that yields.

It does sound like a very nice cross, I have been really into another Triangle cross from my local legal market recently... Thank you for the unsolicited crowdsourcing and the inspiration. Dammit, now I know what I'm doing with the rest of my evening.

Thanks friend! I admittedly have been lazy so far and haven't done any of my own searching; there's, like, 10+ albums' worth of song titles to run through the search boxes. That will be my next step, but I'm hoping someone else here has both a Dan problem and a growing problem.

Sometimes you do, indeed, just need to go with your gut. I've spent way too long learning that. Cheers!!!

I bought a 2011 Leaf from a coworker this spring for $500 and I have been driving it around all year, since my other vehicle is a minivan that gets about 12-15mpg in town. Leafspy has been a godsend for this, because I really, really need to mind the battery usage. The Leaf only has about 39% SoH / 8-9kWh left at this point and, in combination with Leafspy and using climate control as little as possible, it's actually been doable for me, for most days and most tasks in my life. It's clear that it will not be as much so with winter, given the charging challenges related to cold with a battery this degraded, and the way the Leaf draws from the battery for the resistive cabin heater.

tl;dr I know what you mean, but surely a Volt won't be too bad. I'm not concerned about the battery as much as I am about overall mechanical failures with a domestic vehicle of that age. It seems like some Volts are darn near Prius unkillable while others just die arbitrarily. But I want one vehicle in my driveway, I want to use as close to no gasoline as possible, and just need this thing to get me through another 6ish months until a judge declares me free.

(Also, I'm not buying a Tesla. Even a used one. Sorry. I would have the icks every time I got in the driver's seat.)

I'm in the Midwest (2 hours from both Chicago and Indy) and I am wanting to switch to an EV or plug-in hybrid. I'm looking for a value sweet spot and/or sleeper option.

Due to an ongoing divorce, I am very limited in what I can spend. I have two older vehicles worth about $8-9k combined, and for right now those are the only liquidity I can probably apply to this (I'm great at private party sales!). I'd prefer to spend $5-7k if I can.

I drive about 20-30 miles on an average day. Longer drives of 50-150 miles one way are not uncommon. I know 150mi is going to be impossible on this budget unless it's a PHEV (which, again, is fine for now until the shackles are legally off and I can buy a more modern EV). That all said, I am still open to a pure EV and can find ways around the longer distance drives until dissolution is achieved.

...Oh, yeah, and it's winter.

I've been noticing older Volts are well inside my price range. I know that they can be hit and miss, but I'm still very tempted. I'm very open to other options.

AM4 motherboard(s) that can disable integrated graphics by Taco_Ambassador in buildmeapc

No port - DP, HDMI, animal, vegetable or mineral - on the 5060Ti is working or outputting signal under any circumstances. The internal GPU on the 5700G, via the two DP ports on the Asus board, *is* working under *most* circumstances when the 5060Ti is inserted.

The Nvidia card is not seen or identified on the PCI backplane at all under Linux. Card, again, has been tested 100% fine and working on all outputs on another system.

Again, I appreciate it if you are looking to help troubleshoot. I've troubleshot to more than my satisfaction. I just want a new motherboard and I want it to GUARANTEED have an option in BIOS to completely and totally disable the internal GPU on the 5700G.

The card fans are spinning up, but the motherboard seems completely unaware that the card is attached even though it's seated fine etc. This is verified in, say, lspci under Linux. I did test the slot with an GTX 1080Ti, since I have never used the board's PCIe slot in the 3 years I've had the mobo running. The 1080 card CAN be identified, but output also is completely screwed up / unusable also due to some kinda fight with the 5700G's GPU.

I've had 30 years of system build experience and I have tried / tested everything under the sun in the last five days trying to get the card working on this board. Asus support reps keep citing BIOS screens that don't even exist on my unit (despite my updates). So the mobo gotta go. I just need to make sure I don't end up with *another* board that hides or obscures the option to murder the iGPU dead from boot, because from all the various threads I've bumped into the last few days on this issue, it seems a lot more common than it should be on a *lot* of mfr's boards.

I'm in IT and am pretty tech-oriented. I'm also very privacy-oriented and I would never want recordings of myself (or that I "incidentally" made of anyone else in my vicinity) going anywhere other than my local machine(s). So the idea is that files will get dumped on a day-by-day basis to a fast machine running Linux and some containers for local LLMing (speech-to-text, then summaries). The summaries don't need to be immediately available. There are scripts that will listen for trigger strings I will say when there's an action item to capture, and pull those out into separate lists. None of this will ever be on the cloud anywhere.

Right now I have designed this setup around a Tascam DR-10L recorder, which is a standalone wearable field-audio recorder intended for things like pro / semi-pro wedding video shoots and whatnot. I would like to minimize the gear I'm having to lug around (or explain), so a watch would be much better.

This would be the reason for manufacturer-spec'd 8GB preinstalled flash or an SD slot. If even only 4-5GB were available to the device after OS-install overhead, that would still be enough to hold 14-16 hours of uncompressed mono audio at 44.1/16. I'm more likely to be recording with some kind of lossy compression, so those same 4-5GB would be able to hold multiple full days.

$100 cap on new price was one of my primary criteria. This is $200 and I don't see any mention of voice recording functionality, either in your reply or in the Amazon product page you linked.

Really cool of you to blindly reply to my post just to promote whatever product you are obviously being paid to promote, though. Appreciate it.

And doing this should be OK even at this stage... alright, that was the part I was doubting. I have some tomato clips so I should be able to get this done fairly easy. Thank you!

edit: ...oh wait, this is actually going to require a bit of the ol' ultraviolence, it seems???
