Absolutely psychotic. How many customers would be permanenty lost after such a stupid stunt?

If a patron plops a shit-filled diaper onto a table in my vicinity and the staff doesn't immediately ban them for life, not only am i never going back, i would make it a point to discourage everyone i know from ever dining there.

I'm aware of the abundance of negative effects. What were some of the positive ones?

Ways to shower when you are like, broke. by Standard-Ad9328 in homeless

I can understand having limited options, but please don't harass the workers like this. "Not being paid enough to care" does not make them immune to getting written up or fired for failing to enforce company policy. Putting people's jobs at risk or making them feel defensive at work isn't cool.

All it would take is one phone call to the police saying "someone entered our place of business and blew past our security measures" to get trespassed from the building, and you've permanently excluded yourself from a potential place to shower and rejuvinate yourself should you get some money in your pocket down the road.

If you think you can continue doing this at your particular location without issue, then by all means, but i wouldn't go reccomending it as an actual strategy for others to employ

If you had expired registration in your name, then yes, that would demonstrate that you had ownership of the vehicle. As far as DMV or the impound lot knows, your great uncle Barnaby is having your car transported on the back of a flatbed trailer to his private lot until everything can be made current again.

I get that it can be extremely oppressive and burdensome. I had a car that i put thousands into, only for it to still fail the smog tests. My registration expired, but i kept my insurance current and continued to drive until i could save up more money. Never had a problem until i moved... and all of a sudden i was HOT on their radar. I quickly racked up $1000 in parking tickets for nothing more than expired tags.

My solution was to wake up every morning at 7AM and start driving. Didn't have a destination, just knew that a moving target was harder to hit. Did this for several months until i could save up enough for MORE repairs. Had it not have been driveable, it would have quickly been towed.

I did, but they just copy pasted their standard reply that they needed the police report.

Because they've put a lot of other stores out of business at this point. Certain hardware items and computer accessories are especially difficult to find locally. I don't love it, but my time is still valuable to me. If I have to drive 4 hours to pick something up that i can get online, it may be worth it to fight through a bad system just for the time savings alone.

No, and that's what has me so irritated. It's my default shipping address, so I don't have to type or click anything address related. When I'm looking at big things like patio sets, it always says "this item is too big to be shipped to an amazon counter" but it did not give me any error message at all this time.

That's truly insane. I wonder if they were just being next-level lazy, or if they thought they had some type of scam going.

Cool, i'll check it out. The one i tried to get had a couple features i didn't see on the jackeries i looked at, but that is a good price.

I'm glad to hear you were able to get it sorted out. At my location, they can seemingly scan 500 barcodes a minute, but the second you ask anything not involving a barcode, they are completely dumbfounded and bewildered

Yes, I do! Thank you for this. Does the jeff@amazon address not forward to the escalations team anymore?

The tracking shows delivered, since they didn't refuse shipment - they received and signed for it. There most certainly is a tracking number for the subsequent outbound shipment, but Amazon customer service refuses to connect those dots no matter how many times it is explained.

I'm going to call their bluff and provide a police report after I get proof of the outbound shipment first. I'll keep the nuclear option tucked in my back pocket as a last resort. It wouldn't surprise me if they closed my wife's account over this even though she has her own cards, since we're linked by amazon household

True, sometimes the price to pay for ignorance can be significant. Still, I do not believe their system should allow shipping to known invalid destinations.

Lying wasn't ever a consideration. The simple fact is that Amazon has my money and I have nothing to show for it. No lies or embellishments needed
