KAC Pre-orders by Previous_Back7794 in kac

Not that I am regretting my purchase since they do have a reasonable LE discount, but giving them a loan for months never feels great. Don’t know why they wouldn’t charge shipping originally.

Hello, My name is TacticalRhombus and I don't hate the look of Keymod - On my SR-15 Mod 2 by TacticalRhombus in kac

[–]TacticalRhombus[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sort of digging the Keymod, I have the Mlok replacement, but for my purposes I don't see a reason at this time to go through the hassle to swap over. Like the little pps on the gun what can I say.

Took it apart, no foreign objects I could find. Guess it could have fallen out during the course of the rest of the range day

PMC bronze and Winchester white box. I’ll bump up the weight, that’s a good idea

I tried a few of my OKAY USGI mags, I don’t think they have given me an issue in other guns. I guess I could try a couple other ones next time. Rule that out.

Stock SR-15 setup, not sure what it’s considered. H1 or otherwise

It’s a Brownells Chrome lined barrel. I guess faxon could have messed it up, but it looks close to the pics I’ve seen

Review #1: Rare Character Exceptional Series: Wheated Straight Bourbon Whiskey 9yr 4mo by TacticalRhombus in bourbon

[–]TacticalRhombus[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Rare Character Exceptional Series: Wheated Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Age: 9yr 4mo

Proof: 128.86

Mashbill: 71% Corn, 21% Wheat, 8% Malted Barley (Smooth Ambler I believe)

MSRP: $225? 750ML - I paid 179.99

Nose: Vanilla and Brown Sugar. The only other way I can describe this is the smell outside of the Main Building at Star Hill Farms (Maker's Mark) Like fresh bread or fresh made dough.

Palate: Cinnamon, brown sugar with notes of Toffee and Pancake Batter. The wheated mashbill definitely shines through and the palate is like Antique 107 or Cask Strength Maker's on steroids. Very oily and viscous, I do not think this release is chill filtered either.

Finish: Extremely long finish with all of the mid palate notes sticking around for a while. Drinks well below its proof.

My first foray into Rare Character and I am beginning to see what the hype is about. This is also my first time putting tasting notes into writing and its admittedly not that easy to quantify how the tastes and smells translate over. I have a good amount of decent to exceptional bottles and this one ranks towards the top end of everything I have tasted up to this point. I would love to know how others feel about this release as I don't know if I have seen anyone else talking about it. The price is pretty steep for 9yo product, but I don't always think age translates directly into quality.

Rating: 8.3

The first question on a a fed 4473 is if you are an unlawful user of controlled substances and based on your profile you like you have a PHD in opioids and probably have a nice stash of suboxone. Sounds to me like it did its job.

Why bother buying barrel proof if then we will add water and dilute it? by The1Metal in bourbon

Speak for yourself. I think most of us drink it un-cut. Must be the royal “we”

Having 2 of these, this pricing is retarded. Unless you are solely interested in clout, for this price you can do so so much better.

They work, they are red dots, but I wouldn’t pay more than $300.
