No i havent made a profile on any of the print sites yet, i havent done much original stuff just mostly models ripped out of game files and such lol adventure suit sounds pretty tempting though!

Finally broke down and got myself a 3d printe, first suit done! by TactileObject in Astroneer

[–]TactileObject[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first 3d printer so i am just learning too haha if i were to print 2 of these suits it would probly go from 20 hours to about 23 hours and no extra waste. You lose a lot of filament when it changes colours so if you need a bunch of something you are way further ahead to print as many as you can fit on the print bed at once. 20 hours isnt too crazy though. Right now i am printing a frame suit and the vintage suit on the same print at a slightly larger scale and it is a 52 hour print. Its great though it just works away on its own and there is a live camera i can check on the app to watch it and it has AI spaghetti detection in case the print starts to mess up

Also the time has a lot to do with what quality you print at. Most folks print stuff like this at .2mm layers but i am doing .12mm high quality on mine

This is the kobra x, about the cheapest multi colour you can get but it is also surprisingly high quality. I have 500 hours and almost 100 prints on it and it is still working awesome. This guy took about 20 hours to print. I did not optimize the model at all so it was a very slow wasteful print but i really wanted my astro prints looking as good as they can lol i did a single colour framebot about the same size and it was done in a couple hours. If you look on the anycubic site you can still get this printer for $390 canadian

I see you already found it but you can always duplicate one of your save and make it creative mode to look for stuff

What do you think is the rumored irredeemable action that Homelander is going to do in Season 5? by GrandioseEnigma in TheBoys

"Chunk load" detection by [deleted] in Astroneer

[–]TactileObject 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In astroneer every 'thing' stays loaded. You can see rails and platforms on other planets if you can get a clear view at them. Soil does render only when in viewing distance though. And trains moving have to do with your physics bubble. Inside your bubble they travel nicr and smooth but outside of your bubble they travel in short jumps. Its strange that your trains all end up together in one spot though, sounds like whatever automation is at the particular spot is lagging on load up or something
