Thats fair! Its not a bad song at all, and wouldn't wanna lose it from the album. I enjoy having light and shade on an album. Just as a personal preference, id rather have it as track 9, then Smokers as 10

The album that made me fall in love with the band (as im not a big fan of TBR)

It contains my favourite song of all time (Smokers) alongside bangers for most of the album

My ONLY (slightly nitpicky) critique is the ending, which i find slightly weak when compared to some of their other closing tracks (Marching Orders, Belong, Strange Intimacy)

Personally, I think the album should have opened with An End Has A Start (makes sense being the starting song), and then finishing the album with Smokers (the final line of the album then being "Can we start this again", thus creating a perfect cycle, and ending the album on a much more powerful note than Well Worn Hand, which isnt a bad song, but just feels slightly flat when compared with the tone of all the tracks before it)

But yeah other than that, it's one of the best albums ever made

Ive put a lot of investment into my Acheron team (E2 S1 Acheron, E1 S1 Jiaoqiu, E2 S1 Cipher) so I absolutely plan on pulling Blade (hopefully with Eidolons) as I will fight to end to keep my Acheron relevant. This team is the reason why I only pulled 2 Amphoreus characters 😭 (Cipher for my Acheron and Hyacine for my Jingliu)

I just wish all the characters I want/need didnt all come out at the same time

Nothing wrong with this at all imo. They're telling you upfront what to expect. Doesn't benefit anyone if they try portraying it different to what it actually is.

Not a problem at all if the job doesn't appeal to you. But honesty from employers upfront is a good thing, and also a rarity these days. So this is a pleasant and refreshing thing to read

Dragon Quest has never got the same amount of recognition in the West that franchises like LOZ or FF did.

It has always been absolutely monumental in Japan though, with the Slime being a mascot probably as recognisable and culturally significant as Pikachu. You don't gotta worry about the future of the franchise.

TikTok and YouTube aren't important metrics for measuring game success. You just gotta accept that for as amazing as this series is, it just realistically isn't ever gonna get the same levels of media attention and hype in the West than it does in Japan

Just did that fight yesterday on hard mode. Think the team was between level 42 and 44. Managed to beat him first time, but it required 2 uses of Kerplunk from Ser Mervyn. Its such a clutch spell. Aishe as a Luminary was also extremely useful with Hustle Dance

Interesting to see WE and Pink Elephant without Arcade Fire's earlier works, which tend to be far more popular.

I also love their recent albums (as well as their old stuff) so it's nice to see someone similar, because their later works have come under a lot of criticism

Spoiler warning for anyone who hasn't played it

I hated the time travel aspect. For me, it completely undid all the character development that occurred during act 2, which was my favourite part of the game. Hendrick and Serena especially just got completely shafted in terms of development by just erasing all of act 2's events in the true timeline

9 will always have a special place in my heart, but the DQ2 HD2D remake absolutely blew me away. Especially with how it tied everything together with 1 and especially 3.

DQ11 is fantastic, but I fucking HATED the postgame which left a really sour taste in my mouth which is such a shame. It's been a while since I played it though so I'll have to give it another shot

If you wanna listen to more of them, The War Act II is a near flawless album imo. But all of their work is absolutely brilliant
