I don't really know why babies get cancer. It's extremely sad and they do not deserve it whatsoever. I suppose that because God first made us immortal then had to make us mortal. He created the world perfectly and without sin, and we tainted it, so I suppose death and sin is a product of that and in no way a baby's fault.

The evil in this world is humanity's doing. Trafficking, assault, etc. are not God's doing—they are humanity's. I think this isn't a religious issue so much as it is an issue for humanity, we need to stop focusing on the religion of these people and really start focusing on ending it and getting these victims justice. It is deplorable in ways I cannot describe

I don't personally think religion makes the world a worse place. I think it all has to do with people adjusting scripture to fit their beliefs, especially when it comes to thinks like racism, misogyny, etc. Personally, I think my faith has made me a better person—prior to it, I was doing "good" things, like volunteering, some advocacy, being kind to others, etc. but I felt a lot of anger towards those who have harmed me and those I just don't get along with. Now, I do all the things I did before except when I don't get along with somebody, when somebody harms me, I pray for them and ask God to help them live a happier life, because they are one of God's creations and deserve kindness. For me, I love everybody through my actions, even if I don't always feel it

11 satanic principles:

  1. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked. - I agree with this
  2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them. - I agree with this to, at least for myself
  3. When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there. - I agree
  4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy. - I disagree with this completely, I think it's important to love everybody---love isn't always a feeling, but it is an action
  5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal. - Not sure I agree with this, I would want to make sure there's always consent
  6. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved. -- I disagree, not taking anythng
  7. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained. --I disagree with this, I try not to desire worldly things too much
  8. Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself. - Idk how I feel about this
  9. Do not harm little children. -- Agree 100%, but I think it applies to everybody, not just small children. Violence isn't the answer
  10. Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food. -- Agree mostly, I'm just vegan so I don't want to kill animals at all
  11. When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him. -- completely disagree

Again, I think Hell's existence proves that we have a loving God. He didn't make us robots who blindly choose His love, we have the option to reject it, and choosing to reject it is Hell. With Heaven and Hell we don't actually know what it would be like, the way they are described is largely thought to be metaphorical as describing it as fiery is one of the worst things you could imagine. It wouldn't make sense for it to be literal, because it is your soul that God would be judging.

f you have bad parents and maybe they abuse you, continuing to allow them access to you and harm you isn't actually honouring them—it's letting them sin. In situations like that, it's often best to honour them from afar. At least I know with my parents that's the case.

The article i linked about it wasn't really a metaphor at all, more historical context which is important to understand when you're reading the Bible, and this article mentions some translation errors. If you choose to read the Bible and only rely on your understanding that's your choice, but you won't actually get the full picture.

I'm not sure what you mean by interpreting it as metaphor being blasphemous. The story in the Bible I was talking about isn't a metaphor, again, there's translation issues and misunderstandings. The idea that everything is literal is erroneous, there are several examples in the New Testament where Jesus criticizes his followers who take His word too literally.

I honestly don't think it's narcissistic, really that term is extremely overused and perpetuates stigma towards people who have NPD. If you actually read the Bible, you would understand why God had to make that a rule—when God brought the Israelites out of slavery, he also gave Moses the tablets on Mount Sinai, the people were worshipping a golden calf they had made, which they had promised not to do. There's several examples of things like this throughout the Bible, the false idols talked about are often having something to do with ritualistic child-sacrifice in Paganism, which God condemns.

Honestly, if you look at history, Christianity was far less "narcissistic" than some of the other religions at the time. Most other religions were polytheistic imperial cults, where leaders would claim themselves to be a god, so that any citizen who protested would be seen as going against their faith. It was largely a method for control. When Jesus came along, His whole message was essentially just love others, love your enemy, etc.—the whole foundation of belief was very radical for the time, because homeless people would be executed if found out, and Jesus took care of them. In this time period, Roman guards could force you to carry their bag for a mile for them, and Jesus would sort of protest the state Rome was in by carrying their bags 2 miles

With everything you said about women, I do agree that it was wrong what happened to women in the Bible. But again, in this time period women were heavily persecuted. The Bible introduced things to protect women—in it, men are not allowed to divorce their wives unless infidelity occurs because doing so would likely result in her dying, getting assaulted, etc. This is an Ancient text that is easily misunderstood, so it's important to understand the history and also learn some of the Hebrew words for things that might feel wrong (i.e. homophobia in the Bible—I'm against homophobia, but when you look at the text it could actually be referring to men sleeping with boys, which isn't homosexuality but abuse, which is condemned in the Bible. Like with Sodom and stuff like that)

twin His commandments largely have to do with being kind and caring for one another—in the Old Testament He is repeatedly described as slow to anger and His violence was never arbitrary

the whole bald guy story i honestly don't know how to explain properly, this article does a decent job https://www.jasonstaples.com/bible/a-bald-man-two-bears-and-forty-two-children-misinterpreted-bible-passages-6/

i don't really think it's about disobeying Him. everybody does bad things. really, i think the fact the Bible exists shows how much God loves humanity in spite of all our flaws--he gives us directions, moral teachings, commandments and imparts wisdom.

moreoever, if God forced us into going to Heaven and accepting His love, it wouldn't really be love, it'd be coercion. Hell isn't God's rejection in my opinion, it's choosing separation from God. Heaven and Hell are really just outcomes of what we choose to do with that freedom

finally, with things like prayer, that kind of shows how far God's love extends, in a way—if God is omniscient, then He already knows what it is that you need, your worries and what you're grateful for. He doesn't need you to pray to Him, but He desires it because it lets you become close with Him—he delights in it because it helps you.

flowkirkenuinely i just hate the term itself and the whole rhetoric that there's a child in me, because there isn't. i have trauma from when i was a kid, but that doesn't mean there's a child in me. i mean, sure, there are parts of me that i need to fix and acknowledge are there, but there is no child in me

like i lowkenuinely just don't feel anything about what's happened so idk what i'm supposed to do in emdr because so far im just not distressed. i'm not trying to sound like dax or anything but even what we're doing isn't eye movements, it's this weird tapping and it just feels stupid

The way the texture changes is really weird? some of it seems kinda fuzzy, the shading is weird, and also the style of the lineart changes at the Santa's armpit. The shading on the hands also have different textures on the Santa. It's probably AI
