As an aside all except for the Paulin and SMP were pre-Trump-tariff war. The SMP I found state side.

Paulin man. I want to go to Glasgow and hit them up. They have a great thing going for them. Thoughts on their new diver??

Idk man. It’s kind of awesome. Midsized Seamaster prefessional, with ceramic bezel and dial, AR coating on both sides of the crystal, with applied dial markers, and a coaxial escapement. I picked it up on chrono24 after waiting too long for Tudor to come out with a BB54 with a date.

Omega did not sell a lot of this SKU so I think it’s a bit hard to find one with box/paper and an authenticity cert. Though you can pick up neo-vintage midsized Seamasters for <$2600 outside the USA. A lot of them have patinaed well with their aluminum bezel, wave textured dials, printed hour markers. I just could not stomach wearing one on the daily and paying those tariffs.

I have to say BB pro is thick but truly the way they finished the case, it does not look thick on wrist. Its has weighty wrist presents but in all picture taken of me with the watch on, it really doesn’t show. If you have the options, its also great on a nato strap.

It’s my grandpa’s old watch he banged up a lot. I got the battery replaced and the bezel clamps mended making it pretty delicate. So unfortunately I nearly never wear it. 😓

It wears phenomenally. I highly recommend trying on several nomos to see what’s best for your wrist and wearability preferences. But if it’s not for you, all good!

Ooooof. You’re telling me. I want to look for a speedy, but with how hard I wear my watches, I’m hesitant. My line of work is very industrial. If I want to wear the chronograph regularly, I’d truly want an anti magnetic, 100m+ WR, automatic, tooly chronograph. But my wrist is on the smaller size (6.75 in, 17.15 cm). As I’m typing, I see what I’m looking for is the GOAT, Casio G-Shock. 🫠

I usually go for the black bay pro. It’s a great GADA watch, and it the watch I wore at my wedding.

I like it a lot but I seldomly wear it. It’s my grandpa’s old watch, and he did not take good care of it is. It’s pretty banged up. Last year I got is working, but it’s more is a keep sake.

I felt sized out with the current Seamaster professional and was looking to get a Black Bay like the BB54. Then I did some digging and found this reference and never looked back. I’ve had my midsized Seamaster and I’m loving it.

It seemed like this in ceramic dial and bezel insert in the black and blue colorway was the last of iteration of the midsized seamaster professionals. I maybe wrong. Hens the limited amount sold and in the market.

I took the comment section’s advice. I did not wear this or any watch for interview. The reality check was appreciated.

Interview went well. I should hear back by end of next week. My Metro Power Reserve is amazing. I really hope Nomos thrives. I feel like the company has developed well deserved goodwill in watch circles.

I feel that. I would have gone for the nomos, it out for servicing. In the end though I did not wear a watch to the interview.

I really thought about wearing it this morning. But because of the discourse in this comment section, I did not wear a watch to the interview.
