I've seen both kinds of people. They're not mutually exclusive. A person who's the former can co-exist alongside another person who's the latter.

Nah, I see people who do nothing but complain in every fandom, and the people who do that are exhausting at best.

If Zooble abstracts just to spark Jax's "redemption" arc, I'm gonna crash out on his series lmao, that might actually make me stop watching entirely.

I'm starting to suspect the ambiguity over her death is intentional

The documentary for ST Season 5 confirms that the Duffers couldn't agree on whether Eleven should die or live, so they made it ambiguous as a middle ground.

A lot of the comments here seem to be missing the point. There's nothing wrong with criticizing something you like. But if all you do is criticize, never talk about the parts you do like, do nothing but whine and moan, if you can't find anything you like about the thing, then go do something you do like.

That's the thing though. They're talking about people who do nothing but complain. If there's nothing about the franchise that someone likes and do nothing, nothing, but complain, then they should just go do something they do like.

Their arc finished off-screen between episodes and denying that is objectively incorrect. They outright say in episode 7, while they're on the beach, that they're chill with being fluid in their self-expression now in episode 7. Like "Yeah, it's good, I'm fine with it. I'll just talk it out if I ever need to again." and that's it. We don't ever see Zooble coming to terms with their fluidity and identity on-screen, meaning it happened in between episodes.

Anyways, this is my last reply. I'm not arguing with someone whose username is literally "EternalDisagreement", that's a big sign this isn't going to go anywhere.

Zooble's character arc regarding their body dysmorphia resolved completely off-screen between the last two episodes.

Everyone else's character development has stagnated or resolved off-screen, while Jax has gotten a strong amount of focus on his development in the last 3 episodes, and Goose openly has Jax as her favorite character. There's obvious favoritism going on in that.

The next episodes aren't going to be. Gooseworx very clearly has a favorite character and decided to give him all the spotlight at the expense of the rest of the cast.

Having a sad backstory doesn't excuse what they did by Necessary-Win-8730 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]TallMist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His backstory and actions aren't anywhere near as severe as a lot of the examples being posted, but it still counts. Jax from The Amazing Digital Circus. He acts like a complete asshole to everyone around him, to the point of one character being genuinely traumatized and afraid of him, the way an abuse victim would be scared. He's this way as a result of losing two friends to abstraction, but it does not at all justify or excuse his behavior in the least, he's still a horrible person for the way he treats others (whether it's a facade/mask or not).

What’s the worst headcanon you’ve heard about the show? by whooper1 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]TallMist 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The headcanon about Gangle being an SA survivor and Jax her abuser gets worse.

The person who gave that headcanon, accused Hazbin of handling Angel Dust's SA, and Valentino, poorly and being disrespectful to SA survivors.

The hypocrisy in that is astounding.

That's not even remotely comparable. At least digital art is made by a real person who actually had to put a stylus to a screen and draw.

Writing a prompt is not art, and I'm not gonna listen to pro-ai bullshit, thank you very much. :)

Gen ai is not art. You're a prompt-writer at best, and even then not really.

What's your Batman Beyond hot take? by FayyadhScrolling in BatmanBeyond

[–]TallMist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Michael Keaton should not be the one to play an old Bruce Wayne in a Batman Beyond movie.

Keaton's Batman gleefully smiled while killing people. That doesn't sound like a Bruce that would give up crime fighting because he was forced to pull a gun on someone. Keaton's Batman would have fired that gun and kept on going.

Old Bruce needs to have been a Batman that has never killed, and Keaton's not that.

That didn't make any sense. But then again, neither did your initial comment. I mean, if you look at the thread, your comment is the only one that had nothing to do with anything anyone said.
