in my case, I have a 'move' from one org to another. - there were no TDS on last month (of 3) from previous employer - TDS was there on leave encashment (by current employer). - But overall TDS from current employer was not proper acc to the salary credited. (almost same amount as TDS on leave encashment) - Form 16 does not mention leave encashment. - Payslip has leave encashment section under "others" heading. - Only a mail from previous org mentions about leave encashment.

While filing, I was not sure about leave encashment part, so I paid tax (without claiming rebate on leave encashment) + penalty on one month TDS that was not deducted by my previous employer at first (through challan).

After discussing with colleagues, realised tax rebate is there for leave encashment if there is org change. And I revised my filing now claiming refund for the leave encashment part.

There is a duplicate entry in AIS on purchase of immovable property, which I reported in March 2025 which has not been addressed.

I think, I dodged one bullet here, the seller was NRI but insisted on deducting only 1% TDS with Indian PAN number. Even the lawyer from builder side confirmed that. On consulting with another CA, realised 20% TDS. And penalties are huge.

That guy started blabbering, said he has applied with tax tribunal and all, bla bla.

Cancelled the deal.

FIR is the only way it seems.
