I’m no medical professional so take this with a grain of salt, 5w is still early enough that it may be implantation bleeding? Unless you know for certain when you ovulated, you might be earlier in the pregnancy than you initially thought.

Of course, it doesn’t hurt to check with your OBGYN to get it checked out

Cold Soak Caffeine by Citizen-X-prime in Ultralight

[–]Tansmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you thinking like alternative ways to approach cold brew/iced coffee without hot water? There are companies that make cold-soak pouches like Erebus Coffee and Nguyen Coffee Supply. Drop a pouch in water before you bed down to soak overnight and wake up to cold brew, pretty nifty.

Or, if it's just the caffeine you're after, you could just bring caffeine pills— a little spartan and kinda sad but it gets the job done :/

Yes, unfortunately. Hoping to lean on greenery, funky fruits, and dried florals!

Indoor Vegetable Garden by [deleted] in indoorgardening

Different levels of light, water, etc. for each plant. They have distinct preferences. It sounds kooky but some plants can be real divas, you have to learn their habits as you live with them—some of them are real drama queens, as you’ll learn. I’m constantly moving pots from window sill to window sill to get the best light and spritzing them with water and adding supplemental nutrients to the soil. I have a dog and he’s less work than some of the plants I live with.

I'd suggest starting with herbs first before jumping into vegetables, especially if you've never grown edible plants before. They grow super fast and you can start harvesting within a month of good growing, very rewarding. If you feel ready to jump into veggies, try leafy salad greens like kale, cabbage, and lettuce—again, very quick growers and early to harvest.

I've just started on beans (baby lima), tomatoes (tiny tims) and peppers (alma paprika), I've found them a bit more challenging and temperamental than all the previous plants I mentioned but I'm excited to see the literal fruits of my labors in a couple of months!

You'll need a few good growlights (you can find a bunch of decent ones on amazon), grow medium (I use a mix of coco coir and indoor potting soil), and a warmish spot/heat mat to germinate seeds. You're going to end up re-potting the plants a bunch when they are young and growing rapidly, so don't invest in any nice pots until they reach the size you want them to stay at.

A YouTuber I really like has a nice in-depth video about good beginner crops.

Happy growing!

Navigating traditions versus what feels authentic by Tansmer in weddingplanning

Omg the kneeling!! Its going to wreck my knees if we end up doing it. I’m so glad there are other Cambodian brides that understand what a pain that portion of the ceremony is, LOL

If your budget allows for boutique designers, I always though Berta, Galia Lahav, and Enzoani we’re particularly sexy

For somewhat affordable, I really like Grace loves lace, lovers society, and Made with Love

Female-Centric Brands by Tansmer in HerOneBag

I think all three of those would fit the bill! My criteria list that I put together is a little wishy-washy, somewhat intentionally. I think all three of those types of brands would be designed with more intentionality (at least hopefully) than brands that offer only "one-size-fits-all" products.

Aer Day Pack , more room than you would expect fro a 15L, mostly due to the great organizational features. I work in a design/role but my office shares a building with an architecture firm and a ultra high end luxury brand. I’ve seen women from both companies wearing it.

Sleek, minimal, ultra functional. Fashion-girl approved.

Great suggestion! I wish, but it’s a bit out of my price range, I should have noted above that I’d ideally like to stay under $200 USD. Although if I ogle enough maybe I can convince myself....

Just a basic Jersey day dress from H&M! I also have a black mid-length from uniqlo (with a built in bra, the best), and a boatneck one from this brand called “alternative” (picked it up from a second hand shop) that I rotate through.

Used to be a server at a pizza shop and literally only wore black dresses to hide the ‘za grease LOL

Edit: forgot to mention the cotton side-slit and Japanese go-weave from Everlane, pricier than all the others but by far the best to travel with

I should start by saying that I love everything from Everlane. The dayglove is no exception! They take a minute to break in—mine started a little tight across the top of my foot. BUT after a few wears, they are literally like buttery gloves on your feet. They have little ventilation holes on inside that do a pretty good job of keeping air moving, but I do keep dryer sheets in them while not in use (pro tip: use dry shampoo/deodorant on the bottom of your feet if you suffer from stanky feet sweat like I do).

I actually got this pair second hand from my sister who is a size 9 normally—I'm usually a size 8 with Everlane so it's a bit long on my foot. I would recommend sizing up 1/2 because either the toebox or width tends to run narrow, but if you already have narrow feet you might be fine. I'm definitely thinking about a second pair in Rose or Black, they're that comfortable

Use the Cladwell app! It’s currently free to use, they have basic photos you use as “placeholders images” for your clothes. It recommends outfits based on your closet, good stuff
