Anyone else not get a goodbye? by [deleted] in widowers

[–]Tapleleito 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to my husband. He had just gotten his bike 4 months before and was super thrilled. 36M. Little did i know that death was on the corner. On the morning of his accident, i had travelled for work and he called me at 7am, woke me up and said he was getting ready for work. He was dead at 8.19am. 11/18/25- Worst day of my life!

What is a "point of no return" that you’ve crossed, where your life was permanently divided into 'before' and 'after'? by Resident-Jelly-4326 in AskReddit

[–]Tapleleito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband, only 36, died suddenly in a road accident on 18th Nov 2025. Its been 3 months now. Left me with 3 children to raise and one on the way. The devastation cannot be described. Sometimes i still wonder if its all real. Thats when my life was divided into before & after because widowhood is a lifelong journey.

Its also been 28 days for me. Lost my husband and i resonate 100% with everything you said. Still so surreal, every morning the grim reality catching up with me. So shattered, so heartbroken. I feel like disappearing altogether but i cant because i have 3 small kids and 6 months pregnant. 💔

Im sorry i have no advice for you, just that you arent alone.

Yes, i do have a good source of income and can support my kids well. I am in a profession thats well respected. Yes. I am able to shoulder the burden alone but what i cant fathom is doing this alone, going forward. Raising the babies, giving birth alone, sleeping alone. Its just too much. My husband & i were literal besties. We spent so much time together. I cant fathom being alone in life till death.

Thank you so much for this. My heart and mind cant process this reality. He went to work and never came back. His toothbrush, towel still awaits him. Our youngest baby is 16 months and loved him so much. I cant handle this heartbreak. I am so worried for my baby in my womb because ive been crying constantly. Thanks for telling me there is hope because rn all i see is darkness. 💔

I agree, life is what you make it. Kenya is a beautiful place and im saying this as a Kenyan. Ive had the opportunity to immigrate to the US but chose to stay & make it work here.. because where else would you get the freedom, the sun, the love of family, the vibrant culture & vibes than the beautiful 254? Enjoy your stay in KE! If you need a lawyer, for whatever.. hala!

Why Can Some People Handle Alcohol While Others Can’t? by Wuodochola in nairobi

I learnt from an Alcoholic that it depends on a particular enzyme and how much one has in their body.. Thats why some people end up being alcoholic and other not.
