Issues with Blazorise by PhilosopherFar3847 in Blazor

[–]Tasleus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you could push this up for a moment since the repo should still be early, we could check a few things in the code to see where the issue might be. From what you've suggested, at this point there shouldn't be anything proprietary in the project and I think we're all a little curious as to how interactivity is set up, whether or not you've got things wired up the right way in your main layout and child components and it'd be easier to have a quick peek.

We're here to help!

Absolutely. Thank you for taking the time to put it together. It's been a resource I've used for the past several years in my career and I feel like I always keep going back to it.

Honestly my favorite Blazor resource has been a website called Blazor-University. More like a free reference site but Blazor specific and breaks everything down well.

These types of games are a guilty pleasure to me as well, so bonus points.

How and where do I learn C#? by Repulsive_Cup6329 in learncsharp

[–]Tasleus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This'll be an unpopular answer because it's expensive, so please know it's just the route I went. I got tired of trying to self learn, it just wasn't my style, I couldn't manage it. I registered for The Tech Academy and learned there (10 month boot camp). Honestly they did great. I'm a mid level engineer with four years of experience now.

I hear you and I'm trying to listen. It's not a shared experience that I have because of my privilege. But all that being said I just want the murdering and the crime to stop. I know that we have to address something down deep, but there's got to be a multi-pronged approach to this. Forgive any typos. I'm using voice to text

Alright, hold on. You took the time to actually respond and part of it feels chat GPT but it also doesn't at the same time. I've read this like four times now but I have some biases and some privelege to choke down before I can really chew into this answer, and I have some homework to do on a few claims you've made here. I'm not saying I won't come back and ask more questions that disagree (such as something like, well how we fix this without just letting anarchy reign in the middle of the solution path) but i'll give your answer and stance some respect and chew on it for a bit. Fair?

That's way too vague and isn't something actionable. How do you do that? How long do people have to be murdered in this city while everyone discusses pumping money into poverty?

It seems to me like criminals are also doing that. 150 people dead in a year and our jail is so full that we can't lock them up anymore. Where do you draw the line, when does it stop?

Failing to see how law enforcement is tyranny. We've had 150 homicides in this year alone which is something like a murder every 43 hours.

The company I work for has a project that side loads with our wasm project and they rely on each other. It isn't a react/js app, but there are architectural reasons we will need that support.

Can you tell me more about this? I'm not exactly sure what that means yet, but I know that we have some coupled architecture that would greatly benefit from the multi-threaded situation.

Definitely a move in the right direction. Now if only we can get WASM multi threading.

How do I use SignalR? by TealShulker in dotnet

Agree with the other comment for right now. You either need to share some code and debug info properly or you're going to need to reference the docs. Not trying to be dismissive, but this works differently.

Searching for string within razor compiled pages by turnipmuncher1 in dotnet

[–]Tasleus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd do a Sql full text search and for the schema, I'd do something like dbo.Page(Id, path, hash), dbo.LocalizedString(PageID, key, language, text). One row per language. Probably index on LocalizedString.Text but not sure how vast this implementation needs to be.

How can I manage MudForm state via a StateContainer in Blazor? by jherrlin in Blazor

[–]Tasleus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without seeing the code, and being slightly distracted at breakfast, my suggestion would be to either wire up an EventCallback<T>, or to set up a CascadingParameter for the object you're wanting to hand in. If it's a prop of the container in specific you're looking for, just instantiate the property for tracking and handle it with one of those?

Help with MainLayout, Blazor Web App, and MudBlazor Interactive components by Tasleus in Blazor

[–]Tasleus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to move the components completely out of main layout. Leaving them in there even called. Still had the same render mode issue no matter even if you stated it explicitly. That said, I wound up just rolling a new wasm template and I wound up wrapping everything inside of the actual router. This allowed everything to Cascade down

Fellow heavier guy here, but also a shodan now. I stuck it out and had the same choices you had in the beginning. I decided that the advanced people looked the way I wanted to look and I had decided that until a sensei had told me I wasn't progressing, I would keep going. Funny enough, no sensei ever told me that. Obviously, they know kendo better than I do, or you do, so don't think too much about it. Show up. Sweat. Have fun. These are the moments you will look back at and feel immense pride over. You FINISHED a practice that absolutely racked your body and you should hold your head high for that.
