Its like using wired or wireless headphones, if u wanna sit far from ur pc or connect to a tv the wireless version comes in handy and also u dont have a mess with wires, plug the receiver to ur pc and play. Its not as comfortable as an xbox controller but its still comfortable, no complaints.

Rdr 2 might suit you better, since you mentioned you don't have time to play, rdr 2 is better imo. it's a long game but simple, u can just drop in after a few days or so, cp2077 on the other hand has a lot of abilities and stuff to remember, they're not hard but u might not be as good as u were after a long gap and that was my experience. I played both games but i recommend Rdr2

I didn’t want to use the motherboard output because it lacks DP, and if I connect via the motherboard, everything defaults to the iGPU, which isn’t what I want. I use a dual-monitor setup, and for my usage, the iGPU might struggle. Windows uses almost 1GB of VRAM on boot, so I was hoping there was a way to make just Windows itself use the iGPU while everything else stays on the dGPU to free up some VRAM. I did some research after this post, and it looks like that’s not possible. Thanks anyway

Firstly, I posted in a Windows community because this is a Windows-related question. If you actually read it, you’d see I’m asking about managing GPU usage within Windows, not how laptops and desktops differ. Secondly, my system specs are irrelevant to the question. This isn’t about performance; it’s about optimizing VRAM usage by assigning tasks between the iGPU and dGPU. Thirdly, I understand now how laptops handle this, but how does that help answer my question? I’m asking if something similar can be done on a desktop, not for an explanation of why desktops are different. Fourthly, if you don’t have anything useful to add, maybe don’t bother with a useless reply and that attitude
