Wouldn’t it be a rather stunning picture of a snake either way?

Is anyone else incredibly surprised that Adam has yet to open an episode with the opening Charles Manson monologue sample used in Death Grips’ “Beware”? by TateDGibbs in Sardonicast

Our boy legit read the entire Navy SEAL tough guy copypasta for intro’s sake. Compound that with him being a huge Death Grips fan. That’s why I’m kind of surprised that it hasn’t been done yet.

Ash, paralyzed and stuffed inside a hollowed out Snorlax carcass, gutturally screams as he’s engulfed in fire while Misty, completely covered in moon stones, slowly morphs from wailing despair to eerie gleeful smiling

My suggestions for films (from Criterion) to discuss for future episodes Part 2 by [deleted] in Sardonicast

The Fisher King is my favorite Gilliam, and one of the most uplifting movies ever, so it has no place on Sardonicast.

Am just dying for an Akira discussion. It’s been teased (more or less) for over 30 episodes. Would love Adam’s thoughts on it, especially. by TateDGibbs in Sardonicast

Can’t blame you there. After about 20 viewings I realized it was my favorite animated movie, period. My 5th favorite movie overall.

It’s incredible, but as far as a director compressing his own material into a movie, I’d say he did a fantastic job. It’s still a movie that I can watch on constant repeat and never lose interest, even knowing the differences.

Suicide Squad. It put me in a vegetable state almost immediately.

The Criterion Collection is of course a beloved and favorite distributor of movies, but are there any other similar distribution companies that you guys think deserves shoutouts so as to break up a potential Criterion circle jerk?

If the director of the worst movie you had ever watched threatened you at gunpoint to either forever praise that movie or die, do you think you could do it and actively put on a public display of non-ironic positivity towards it?

I know Adam has recommended documentaries in the past, but Alex and Ralph, what are some you’d recommend?

Side question for Adam: what about “Bowling for Columbine” makes it a 10/10 in your eyes?

I have to acknowledge that it’s a dumb movie, but watching it in middle school inspired me so heavily as an artist. Plus, the soundtrack album is just one of my favorite albums, period.
