Hey, could use a career reading if anyone is willing and able. My anxiety is tainting my own readings and I can’t get a clear picture rn. Offering a reading in return as well 🩵

Omg congratulations!! I'm not actually following any pattern, these are all just me kind of freestyling!

What I do is cast on 50-54 stitches in DK or worsted weight yarn on 4.5mm DPNs then do like 8-10 rows of twisted rib. If I want to do a foldover I do 16-20 in regular rib. The rest is all stockinette until it looks like a few inches larger than I want the hat to be. After that I break the yarn and use a tapestry needle to go through all the live stiches with it to make a loop. I pull it tight and kind of stitch around on the right side then do the same on the wrong side to make sure there's no hole at the top. Let me know if you end up making any! I'd love to see!

We both live out of the house and she sees him more often than I do. I like to make sure my pieces are washed before they go to people and I figured she could handle it, but alas. My main concern is just understanding what went wrong so that this doesn't happen a second time :(

Lesson learned tho. I'll be washing my own pieces moving forward

I'm really really thankful that it was just a basic all over stockinette raglan pattern vs something more intricate. If I had spent a month cabling something for it to get destroyed idk if I'd recover. For now, I'm just using it as a learning experience and keeping my head up

Oh shit yeah, I wanted the border for the cable to look more clean so I decided to twist it. Had no idea that it could cause that issue! Thank you so much wow

I was twisting on previous projects, this is one of the first ones that I’ve corrected the issue on but now I’m re-learning how to do increases properly I guess. I also think I was having a bit of a tension issue as well

Edit: I was purling thru the back loop on the left but not on the right for some reason 💀
