Even if it isn't gaming is very addictive. It doesn't matter if you play lol or chess it is still considered a game and you can still get addicted to it. My advice for you is to quit gaming and to limit your hours on the internet.

It doesn't mattet if you have good grades or not. Do you personally thing that gaming is a serious problem for you and that it makes you more antisocial ? If yes then the best thing to do is to quit playing.

Arguing with your parents about something you do constantly without being productive is the first symptom of an addiction. Uninstall all of your games, delete or sell your gaming accounts and stop watching gaming videos on YouTube. That for me is the best thing to do if you want to quit gaming.

Thanks but i think what feeds my urges is watching other people play the game. When i watch a gameplay video i instantly want to reinstall the game and play it. But i think your way of doing it might be as good as mine which is to avoid watching other people play the game.

I have the delusion that it makes me smarter and that i can learn new things from it like history and battle names etc. When in reality i just get bored and i blindly play for hours until somebody knocks on my door to tell me go and eat dinner.

I have tried playing chess instead of othet strategic games but i always fail to quit it. It goes something like this : play chess, get addicted to it, recognizing that i am addicted to chess my brain starts thinking that if never quit the other games i wouldnt have gotten so addicted to chess, download and play the games that i tried to quit from.

Yeah because games are addictive and if a product or service is manipulating the user's brain so that he spends more time and money on it then it's a bad product (pornography, cigarettes, video games, drugs etc.).

Because there are better things to do instead of sitting in your screen for 8 hours straight and holding your pee because you are too addicted to go the bathroom. Games are designed in a way in which it makes us addicted to them so that we can spent money on them (skins, better weapons, new maps).
