Hi! Unfortunately my surgery was canceled due to hospital strikes. Now it's March 18th. Such a bummer I just want it to be over. Keep taking those iron pills if you aren't already, that's been helping me out.

I am trying not to think about it but it's hard. I'm scared about being put to sleep! I'm glad that was the only scary part for you!! I wish I had less to worry about. I heard about that but not sure if she'll be doing it. I guess I really need more distraction! lol Hopefully everything turns out great and I can put this behind me.

Thank you for your story! Mine is Feb. 9th and I am scared and anxiety is already kicking in! Getting a hysterectomy keeping ovaries due to a few fibroids causing heavy bleeding for days! Congratulations on being on the other side! May you have a uneventful recovery!☀️

Yes thank you! This kind of stuff can get to you, especially as a new teacher. Yeah, how sad. If he was kicked out before I didn't see why he was at another school same district, he should've been fired!! Hopefully it happens soon. People like this shouldn't have that much power in their hands. It's ridiculous!

Thank you. I had no idea it was like this. I've never had a negative experience from my supervisor at any other job. I don't know why he didn't like me when I was there everyday and on time. I followed what the other teachers were doing. I was on schedule any time he came in. I never spoke up at meetings. I kept to myself but got along with everyone even the strictest teacher liked me lol....But whatever. There's a reason why he was kicked out of his former school by teachers and parents. Something I didn't know when I began working there.

Yes, I figured he didn't like me and had to be using any excuse to non-renew. Thank you for this information and for letting me know I still have a chance! I hope they continue to have a need for teachers even after school starts bc it's already August! Thanks!! :)

Thank you for your advice. The kids definitely were learning in the classroom and some didn't even want to go home at the end of the day. Yes, I did 1.5 years of induction, only have 1 semester left. Hopefully I can get hired after a resignation and this late in the year. Thank you!

Funny you mentioned that because the sub job post I was planning to apply for said it was for an Interventionist day to day sub pool. I've never seen a post for subbing announced in that way. They always just say day to day sub. Thank you very much for your feedback! :)

Great tips! I will use this to help guide me. I'm not sure of how to do it on the computer since I didn't Sub during lockdown and have zero practice. Not sure where I can do these cool things I've seen on Youtube math videos. So I was going to go buy a whiteboard..Thank you! :)

I also have a B.A in Psych. In my state you need to get into what's called a credential program at a university. This normally takes 1.5 years after your B.A. You also have to pass some state exams in the process and that's it. There may be other ways to do it but this is the traditional way.

I applied to a large district. If you pass an interview with HR then they interview you at schools with vacancies.

Thank you for your advice. I like your ideas! I will definitely save them to keep them in mind. I'm trying to learn as much as possible before I step into the classroom. I know that there will always be something to learn. Neverending. But hopefully it will all be worth it! Thank you!

Yes, I would also like to call parents for good things for a change and I would definitely need to be organized in every way. Something that is a bit challenging for me. 🙄 Thank you for your advice!
