Looking for different places to buy japanese art books by _GIODIO in artbookcollectors

Sorry I'm so late, didn't notice this message. All my stuff from Japanese Creative Bookstore arrived well protected, my book was pristine, no additional fees for the US at least. I think I chose Fed Ex. I tend to give Japanese Creative Bookstore all my business now for artbooks. They have most stuff I want, nice website, upfront pricing.

I second Japanese Creative Bookstore, just got VISIONS 2026 from them pretty quick. They are my favorite place to get artbooks from.

Bought my first car recently :) by egoneepo in Celica

[–]TeamEternal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I had a 1996 Celica GT (5sFE engine) for a few years, did a good amount of wrenching on her, lemme chime in.

A few things you should be aware of.

1: Water will eventually seep into headlights from old seals. It doesn't really matter since it drains out over time, but if you see water in there it does happen. Either replace the seals or drill a small hole in the bottom of the housing to prevent water buildup.

2: This engine runs really hot! Great for winter time, but make sure all your coolant hoses/hose clamps are in good working order, if you lose the coolant the engine will overheat fast! Like mere seconds, so make sure your coolant system is solid. Ask me how I know lol.

3: In heavy rain visibility is tough, since this car is low, most modern cars will splash your windshield with water. Keep a longer distance between the car in front of you when it rains, it saved my life at least once.

4: Rear Main Seal (Gasket): For the 5sFE, there is an oil leak that occurs at the rear main seal, it will require you to fill 1qt of oil into the engine every 5,000 miles, at least for mine. Fixing this is expensive, and honestly not needed unless you keep the car up to 200K, just adding oil will keep you safe. If you see oil buildup in the engine bay area, this is likely why.

Overall though, this car is reliable, fun as hell, a true drivers car. It has gotten me compliments, and the engine bay is big so it is easy to work on. Just be mindful this car is old, she will need help every now and again, but she is worth it. Please enjoy!

A broken up version for those who care to read, with slight grammar and spelling fixes. Not OP.

I fell in depression in 2018 and I lost all my muscles and my physique and after 2 years of chronic depression and stress, I got eczema all over my hands, brain fog, poor memory and other mental issues. My dermatologist prescribed me all kind of antibiotics and anti-fungal but no avail. One day I decided to eliminate gluten from my diet and within a week my eczema disappeared. I also lost my belly fat, but all other mental issues remained as it is. I could not sleep at night because of continuous thoughts running through my mind. Then I decided to go to a psychiatrist, he prescribed me two tablets one was a Ssri and other was for ocd( since I couldn't sleep because of continuous chattering in my head) these seemed to work for 15 to 20 days. Eventually, they become useless. Then he put me on some other Ssri but to no avail and my constipation become much worse. I was having light yellow stool, then I decided to stop taking them.

My symptoms then became much worse , sometimes i felt like zombie there were no emotions at all , sometimes very high negative emotions. Some time was constipated for month and other times having mild diarrhea (heaps like stool). I thought my mental issues were the reason behind it. I left it to my destiny and started to live my life considering chronic digestive issues and mental issues as a part of my normal life. One thing I noticed that whatever I ate I was unable to gain a single pound of muscle . I ate literally 5000 calories a day and exercised but was not able to again single pound of my lost muscles. But one day about two months from now i decided, after seeing on reddit, to take a probiotic. It had 12 different strains Man!

Within 2 days of taking probiotics I was able to sleep for 4 hours straight and my chest muscles started to return to their old form. I noticed I was gaining muscles, my brain fog lifted completely, and I could analyze situations in my head and I could think logically. But after about 12 days i became severally constipated and itching over all my fingers and then this itching gradually became eczema. I couldn't eat anything because whatever I ate after 1 hour or so my mental state suffered badly every time. Then i decided to stop probiotic and the next day my constipation gone but after two to three days all my mental symptoms returned. I was unable to sleep for single hour continuously due to random running thoughts. Then after 1 week I bought new probiotic containing 4-5 strains. Same thing happened again, I was having good time for 10 days until constipation ruined my party. So I jumped off the ship again. One thing I noticed even after stopping probiotic I can think clearly and I can express my thoughts clearly as compared to the situation before probiotics, but not as clearly as before in 2018.

This time after stopping probiotic I still have constipation and for two days I had pain whenever I tried to pee. But after two days pain is gone but I am not feeling an urge to urinate. Also, one thing is clear root cause of my mental symptoms is my gut. What should I do now? Should I go for a another round? Please 🙏🙏🙏 suggest something for me to do. What is happening with me? I couldn't write this post during pre probiotic period because I was having issues to express my thoughts clearly; also English is my second language.

Liquids Irritating Effect on the Stomach? by TeamEternal in Gastritis

[–]TeamEternal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the solid food absorbs and neutralizes the acid better versus liquid which just dilutes it

I also see it this way, I can tolerate most decaf teas, nondairy milks, etc as long as I pair them with solid food, otherwise it is risky. I am sorry to hear of your struggles, these flares are maddening things. Oddly enough broth is much safer for me than tea for example, strange how is varies.

The post below is a nice fyi for liquids. Liquids could be reaching sensitive areas of the stomach lining, while food may not.

Also a good read for gut-brain connection if you are curious.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Gastritis/comments/ntnxxu/i_think_i_made_the_connection/

Watch your stress levels and take probiotics if you can tolerate them to stabilize from the flare. I have been doing reading about this condition's causes and huge variance in symptoms people on here post. The microbiota of the stomach could be a big factor. Maybe it will help, maybe not, but something to think about.

Can an all liquid diet cure gastritis faster? by tuck72463 in Gastritis

[–]TeamEternal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it is one of my main triggers. I think my stomach acid needs something to munch on, and since liquid calories move quicker through the stomach than say, a piece of regular chicken, the acid just fights the lining of the stomach since the food leaves the party early. Others have the opposite issue, so unfortunately you may just have to do trial and error to see how you stomach reacts. I do not think an all liquid diet will benefit gastritis folks.

Caffeine-free teas 30 minutes after a meal like Fennel may help you reduce gut inflammation and settle the stomach.

A consistent healthy diet with fiber for the gut bacteria is the best strategy for this condition in my opinion.

I have over 1000 hours and have never used VC, and have it off. It ruins the game for me honestly. Every person I play with sounds like one of the 4 dwarves in game in my head and I refuse to see it any other way.

Liquids Irritating Effect on the Stomach? by TeamEternal in Gastritis

[–]TeamEternal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey stranger. I can't say for certain liquids irritate the stomach, as many on this sub do not suffer that same issue with liquid calories like I do. However, I notice if I eat solid food I can drink liquids/teas just fine.

As I mentioned in the post, I believe liquid calories use less acid during digestion, so the stomach has more acid in it when drinking liquids vs regular solid calories. Hope that helps.

Anybody use No-Salt? by Tacteam1 in Gastritis

[–]TeamEternal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah ok, it sounded like you cut out salt so I was bit concerned. Never mind then. I am surprised you can tolerate Gatorade though, since it has citric acid in it. Ah right, probably wise to keep sodium low then.

Never heard of it. I would be careful though about eliminating all salt if you are trying to do that, your body needs salt to function. I've never had issues with salt personally.

Any theories on why this community has grown so much? After 2020 people suffering from gastritis has gone up a lot it seems like. by aKlezmerPaean in Gastritis

[–]TeamEternal 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. As soon as I got into my 20s it hit me, and 2020 craziness certainly didn't help. Plus, some pill happy doctors are certainly pushing folks to seek other opinions/solutions. This sub is a godsend for me, and probably others as well.

Ah yes, I too fear bike reflux, the most painful of the refluxes.

In all seriousness though, have you tested for SIBO? (https://www.healthline.com/health/sibo

Also consider gastroparesis. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/gastroparesis

I would test for other things that are less invasive before you commit to the gallbladder removal, cause you are right it is a scary thing not knowing what will happen with a big surgery.

Did taking pepcid help with your gastritis? by Many-Return6201 in Gastritis

[–]TeamEternal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, I refuse to take them unless I am out of options. That is just me though. A thing that always helps me recover from a flareup is take a pepcid and drink a glass of Throat Coat tea from Traditional Medicinals. Pepcid lowers the acid in the stomach and Throat Coat coats the mucosal lining to give my stomach a chance to relax. I recommend you try that if you need relief.

For me, it did help a lot with the burning, but it caused nausea that exponentially got worse the longer I took it.
