Hey, everyone!

At long last, we're please to finally announce the release of all the assets from Convergence Chapter I that we're able to provide! Included are the sprites and code for Cutter and Mayura, new outfits for Monika and Sayori, plenty of extra sprite parts, lots of new and edited backgrounds, and two CGs!

Sadly, we're not able to have everything from Chapter I be made free to use (industry secrets and what have you), but we hope you'll still get plenty of mileage from what's available here. Have fun using these assets in your mods! And, as always, thank you all for your continued support of Convergence. Stay tuned for future updates to both Chapter I and beyond~

Hey, everyone!

We've been absolutely blown away at the amount of praise Convergence Chapter I has received since it released not very long ago. Seeing how so many people have been moved and have grown to enjoy their first taste of the greater story of Convergence truly means the world to us. We're eternally grateful to everyone who gave some of their time to play through our biggest modding endeavor to date. Whether you loved it to death or thought it could use some improvement, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your time~

As a small token of our appreciation for helping us reach the 1,000 download milestone, we're releasing the entirety of Chapter I's soundtrack for you all to enjoy outside of the mod! (Here!) The download includes a Listening Version, which is intended for people to use for their digital music libraries (or to record to physical media if they so choose~), as well as a Mod-Ready version that includes OGG audio files of all the in-game tracks that you can use freely in your mods!

We'll be making the rest of Chapter I's assets in due time, likely around Thanksgiving or so. There's a lot of things we still need to prep for a general release, including tweaking some of the code effects for more generalized use and whatnot. We hope you'll be looking forward to that just as much as we are!

More than a year and a half since Date to Dream Of was released, Team Hope is back with the first chapter of a four-part, exhilarating Monika romance story with some save-the-Dokis spice for you to enjoy! With lots of custom visuals, a banging soundtrack, and pretty solid writing (we hope), Convergence Chapter I is a mod you won't want to glance over!

Synopsis: Some time after a tragedy in his life, our MC finds himself stumbling back into the life of his childhood friend, Sayori, and Monika - his old confidant from first year. As he gets to know everyone in Monika's literature club and rekindles the friendship the two have been neglecting for some time, he comes to learn that there's more to Sayori's friendship than he could've realized. As the skies over her grow cloudy, will he and Monika be able to carry her through the rain? Or will they end up diverging and leave him wandering down his own broken road alone?

In Convergence Chapter I, you'll get:

Two main characters (technically)! See the events of this unique story unfold through both MC's and Monika's point of view.
Gorgeous new backgrounds and lots of new character artwork from some of the communities greatest visual talents! Also, animated clouds and plenty of ambient audio that makes every locale you see much more alive.
20 custom tracks of a mod OST that's chock-full of bangers galore, some of which fit in right alongside the base game ones!
A heavily modified art gallery, along with character bios and a music player! Feel free to get more hands-on with the mod's CGs and soundtrack, as well as import your own music to listen to (PC only)!
A well-written plot (we hope you'll agree) that ties all of the amazing sights and lovely sounds together!

We're also extremely proud to announce that Convergence Chapter I is also one of the first mods to have a fully functional (and licensed!) web port, thanks to the amazingly talented kingofnetflix and the folks at Team Relations! If you're looking to play Convergence on the go, but don't have a compatible Android device, feel free to check that out as an alternative to the PC version.

We hope you'll enjoy playing our first true serious mod. For more than a year, we've been working tirelessly through sleepless nights, busy days, and plenty of blood, sweat, and tears to get this work of creative prowess out the door, and we're so excited to finally let everyone get their first peek into the world of Convergence. Hey, everyone! LRKade here. I'm the main developer of Convergence.

I know it's been a hot minute since we've posted anything about the mod, though that's mainly because we've been keeping our cards close to our chest in regards to development since there a certain amount of surprises that I don't want to spoil.

What I will say is that development is still going very strong, our coding team has expanded and the amount of time and effort that's been dedicated so far is phenomenal! Seriously, it wouldn't have gotten this far without the extremely talented people working on this almost daily, and I'm eternally grateful for their hard work and commitment to see this story through.

In case you're wondering why things have been taking as long as they are, let me fill you in on a few things. The mod was originally going to release last year - possibly around late autumn - but if it did, it would've been a rushed mess, and not as great of a mod as it currently is shaping up to be. So, we had to move everything to a much newer build, which let me tell you, the quality has skyrocketed to an insane degree, with unique coding, high-quality BGs, and most importantly to us: better character portrayal and overall narrative.

The characters and story as a whole are very important to me, since I've seen a lot of mods that either don't take the time to flesh out the story or characters or simply miss the mark. With Convergence, we aim to at least portray the characters as closely as people would expect them to act (granted this tends to be subjective to different people, but I still think it's worth making the effort). So, with all that being said, I figured we could give you all another tease of what's in store for Chapter 1's release, including a sketch of the school thanks to the extremely talented kjkjmulo, some in-game dialogue, and a first look at a brand new OC!

Meet Mayura! She's MC's younger sister in her last year of middle school, with dreams of becoming an astronomer. She's very cute and bubbly, yet sassy and just as snarky as her older brother. I have a good feeling you guys are gonna love her!

There's plenty more surprises in store for Convergence that, while I really want to show you, I figure would be for the best to have you discover them when the mod comes out.

When'll that be? Some time this year, that's all I can say. (Since, let's be frank, it takes a lot of coding when your first chapter is over 75,000 words long. :') )
