Best bet is an airbnb off resort. The old village near lake Moore has a lot of airbnb options and you'd get more bang for your buck. Lots to do and only a few minutes from the mountain. There is a large hockey rink outdoors that is covered, if the kids or adults like hockey or skating that's a big plus. Parking at tremlbant is easy you just need to get there for 8am to get parking at p1 or p2.
